A week in Fethiye, Turkey.
A memory from July 17, 2016. My niece enjoying her time on her mom’s birthday.
I was quiet, but I was not blind.
Jane Austen, Mansfield Park (via faithlefou)
Caspian Sea, Baku. 2000s.
I didn’t realize it, but the days came along one after another, and then two years were gone, and everything was gone, and I was gone.
F. Scott Fitzgerald, Babylon Revisited and Other Stories (via quotes-shape-us)
I am spending my winter holidays in Moscow - the capital of the Russian Federation. The city - full of former Soviet nationalities, smoking factories, beautiful roads and subway, and obviously vodkas. There is almost nothing to do other than freezing in cold weather during winter months, yet one'd enjoy indoor activities as well such as visiting museums, having some coffee in cafés, and eating different cuisines in cool restaurants. What i evermore loved about Russians that you always notice them reading; be it in the parks, buses, subway and etc. What i dislike - they (not all) still have a lot to learn to respect others, they over-love themselves and sometimes they produce some harsh words to others, specifically when it comes to Caucasian people. Lo and behold, Moscow literally should top your list of "places to go", aging, however, would not be recommended since you might easily get bored as time goes by.
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
Victor Hugo, Les Misérables (via aiiq)
There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.
Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (via wordsnquotes)
A guy named Adolf Hitler won an election in 1932. He won an election, and 50 million people died as a result of that election in World War II, including 6 million Jews. So what I learned as a little kid is that politics is, in fact, very important.
Bernie Sanders (via theliberaltony)
Bernie Sanders’ parents are Holocaust survivors by the way.

Throw me in New York, push me out to sea.
A crowd of people gathering in front of the Capitol on Memorial Day.

“We met 25 years ago in an English class. There are normally four of us together. I’m from Russia. She’s from Azerbaijan. The Moldovan and the Ukrainian couldn’t make it.”
Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.
