the brunette turned to look at him, finally, though her gaze immediately found their way to his bare feet. not that she had any problems with it or anything, it was just a bit of a shocking sight, was all. shoes were made for the outdoors, after all. “ you’re not wearing shoes, ” she commented rather monotonously, lifting her gaze to meet his. maeby wasn’t even sure why she said it. just an observation she couldn’t hold back, for some reason. “ i know every meme, but i have WEAK wrists. they weren’t made for any kind of, like—snapping or flicking or jerking or any sport-type movement. only typing. ” she said it so seriously, as if that even made any sense to begin with. still, she plucked the rock from his hand and steadied it in her own, trying her best to throw it just like he did, but ultimately not being as successful. she just kind of lobbed it into the water with a decent splash. “ is rock skipping a skill people admire ?? i can’t imagine anyone judging me for not being able to do this. ”
he glanced down at his feet due to her comment, unsure of what she meant by it but unphased overall. “we’re on vacation, why would i wear shoes?” james laughed, remembering the fact that he was there to wash them and still hadn’t. “aren’t e-sports a thing now? soon typing will be considered a sport-type movement and you’ll beat everyone.” he nodded before watching her throw. “i don’t know, you’re the one skipping them, you tell me. i’m sure a rock skipping judge would judge you, but you know, i don’t think anyone here fits that description so i’d say you were good. so...typing, what are you like a blogger? or a hacker, or something?”
