like the only place i've managed to get away from doing that is on facebook

i don't mind doing it on plurk because that actually is semi private

but doing so on tumblr is starting to bug me more and more i just... literally have no brain to mouth filter :|

i do the similar thing! sometimes whenever i see posts that bring up a lot of opinions i tend to go to the blog of the person and just read what’s on their blog to see what they believe and where they’re coming from

like i literally just did this and it was about 50%/50% like i agreed with half of what they were saying and half of what they were saying i disagreed with

and I think that's important and healthy of me to admit and do staying locked in a bubble with people who just only agree with everything i say does not help me. like. at all.

tbh whenever i see someone saying something on tumblr that i don't agree with i do go to their blog and read some of their opinions.

I never engage with them. I just read.

It's really important to read the opinions of people you don't agree with when you're mentally up for it. Be critical of it. Say "I agree with this part but don't agree with the rest of this." Think about why you don't agree with it. Or think about what they're saying that you do agree with. Question and challenge your own beliefs while being accepting of new ideas.
