A good old-fashioned layout photo of all the goodies in my pumpkin kits! As someone who has been making amigurumis for years, it's easy to forget that not everyone has yarn needles, safety eyes, or a big bag of stuffing sitting around 😆 My hope with these kits is to be able to lower the barrier to getting started with the art (and enable crafter to begin their own creative journey). One of my favorite parts of Pride events is seeing such a diverse group of people show up as their full selves! I spotted leather, fur suits, dyed hair, corsets, cosplay, pride flags draped like capes, and a group ranging from artists to scientists to drag queens to pastors in a whole range of ages, races, backgrounds, ability levels, and, of course, queer identities. There were just so many people there, and my biggest regret is not being able to have lengthy conversations with more of y'all.
