āLife isn't a matter of milestone but of moments."

Good day everyone! It's time to reflect in Empowerment Technology subject as well as self reflection. As we all know, learning in the new normal is a challenge for the teachers, students and even parents. I know from the start that it will never be easy. A lot of challeges that I may encounter, not just in this subject but also in adjusting in this what we called New normal education.
In this second semester, Empowerment Technology, I can say that I really learned a lot. All of my prior knowledge was widened and expanded in so many different ways. I didnāt expect that I will really learn a lot. Not just learning, but at the same time i am having fun. Since day one, I always have learning a lot of things about technology. The best thing is our teacher Mrs. Linda Lacbay, she was not just focus on giving some activities or explaining the concept of the lesson, she teach us hands on what I mean is we are not just learning through text or some activities like learning task or something, she make us do the real thing, because what her point is to learn her students to apply it in real life or learn how it done.
At first I am so confused. You need to analyze and understand it very well. But when you listen carefully to your teacher while she is speaking in front of the class you will easily understand and cope up with the lessons.
I mistakenly assumed that ICT stood for Information and Computer Technology, but our teacher informed us that ICT deals with various communication technologies such as mobile phones, telephones, and the internet, and it is used to locate, save, send, and edit information. I discovered that WWW stands for World Wide Web, a system on the internet that allows documents to be linked to other documents. A website is hypertext documents that is connected to the internet.
I also discovered that there are two types of websites: dynamic and static. Dynamic can operate more effectively and easily update and connect, and it can create websites such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Google, and other social medias. The static, also known as a flat page, cannot be manipulated by the other user.
I was also aware of the four types of web 2.0: folksonomy, rich user interface, user participation, and longtail. There are various types of social media, including social networking, bookmarking sites, social news, media sharing, microblogging, and blogs and forums.
In this new normal education, it makes me a whole different person. A lot of things change in myself. I've experienced pains, anxiety, doubts, and I guess depression also but I've overcomed it all with help of my family and friends.I have realized many things that I've never thought before. And those experiences thought me a lot of lessons that made me a different a person.
As we all know technology is very helpful in todays society especially in this Covid-19 pandemic but also because of this we are slowly in our own destruction. Always remember this, āThink before you clickā because this is the key to our success.
This new way of learning brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic may be an added challenge during this difficult time. And, since returning to the "normal" we've all become accustomed to isn't going to happen anytime soon, let's all do our best to adjust and make this current situation work. Remember that the goal of online learning is to keep students academically engaged in order for them to retain what they learned.
My journey in Empowerment Technology is similar to a train; I'm not sure what kind of rail I'll encounter along the way. Even though there have been many ups and downs, I have overcome the challenges and hardships associated with this subject. It provided me with a wealth of new insights and perspectives. Everything I've learned will never be forgotten and will live on in my mind and heart for the rest of my life. And without a doubt, this is the best and worst subject for me.
