I’m a happily married mom of 4 adorable kids and a longtime Jane Austen nerd who’s suddenly become obsessed with Final Fantasy VII, the Remake, Crisis Core, and Cloti/Zerith. In the past I’ve also geeked out on the Legend of Zelda and the Harry Potter universe. Post-Traumatic Growth Explained Through Tifa Lockhart | Final Fantasy

Cloud's mind was shattered by trauma, but Tifa’s mind was forged by it. It’s a PTSD vs PTG dynamic.

In psychology, there is a concept called the Cognitive Seismic Model. Trauma acts as an earthquake that destroys your worldview. Growth doesn't come from the trauma itself, but from the grueling, conscious process of rebuilding the house from the rubble. Tifa Lockhart is the absolute embodiment of this.

One day, Hojo decides to punish Sephiroth by forcing him to be Reeve's assistant for a week (Hojo doesn't like Reeve so he thinks it's a punishment)

Except

When he returns, Sephiroth nows speaks like Caith Sith. With this particular accent.

Sephiroth knows exactly what he's doing and talks in an incomprehensible Scottish accent because he knows it pisses Hojo off and because he can say whatever he wants without Hojo being able to understand him.
