Tried the challenge of drawing a character "as close as possible to canon" vs "in your style". I struggled back then and I still dont understand proportions of his face + that damn hat or whatever it is

My Type looks really polite for some reason 😭😭😭 the guy suddenly turned from a criminal into a trusted adult

Used this as the only reference for him

Fun fact! I have the same overbite as him #besties /j

I really dont understand how to draw his mouth and how to make it big and looking good at the same time... Rrrr.

Conclusion: autism creature has been drawn. He will be drawn again.

OK Here's a big dump of wip screenshots and goofy things i've encountered while modeling.

I actually had to redo the head a LOT, because the topology made it nearly impossible to work with the mouth. Good topology is just the kind of thing you're supposed to learn as you model more and more... which was very annoying to figure out on my 5th head attempt LOL

I sent my model to a friend at one point to do some troubleshooting for me and this is the screenshot they sent back...

What do you think the other toy's reaction was to when Huggy Wuggy escaped the factory in the Restricted: Disappearance ARG vid from MOB?

Tbh I believe Playtime Co. kept it pretty wrapped up. I don't think most of the staff knew it happened-- let alone the other toys-- nor do I think Huggy would care enough or even think to share that he escaped either. It was probably a little embarrassing. It's fun to imagine him trying to get Cool Points about it from his best friend though lol

But I think the Prototype knew. He was very unimpressed that 1170 got captured so easily.

I just spent the last month making my very FIRST fully colored and rigged 3d model(s)!!

I thought that a simple character design would be easier to make, but after 4 weeks of crawling around youtube tutorials and blender forums and feeding all of my trivial issues to my blender friend... maybe I'll just say I'm happy it's over 😀

My models are far from perfect of course but I enjoyed the experience a lot and I loved learning the program! Someday I hope to make more models. Maybe a few simpler ones. For my sanity's sake. Lol

My idea of this piece is the prototype being taken outside after defeat, seeing sunlight and grass for the first time in decades…The blue butterfly landing on him symbolizes rebirth, freedom, and farewell 😢

The broken past made him the villain of the story, spreading hatred at the world. He can’t turn back, he could only live in the shadow he had reshaped by himself. Now everything is over... In the sunlight, this decaying body blooms with flowers. Ollie, you've done so much—now it's time to rest.
