MIDNIGHT MASS
BLADE RUNNER 2049
(spoiler alert)
It was my longest and maybe the most satisfying movie experience in the cinema (2h 43m), after Interstellar of course.
I didn’t even realize I was already sit for more than 2 hours until my ass twitched. God, it hurts. But it was worth it, hah!
The colors was so good, I almost couldn’t see the differences between this and the original Blade Runner (1982). Both are eyegasm.
Gosling’s performance was breathtaking; Ford was still amazing for a guy who got beat up at the age of 75, turned out he’s (not) too old for swimming in the ocean; and Leto... God... His performance reminded me of the way Heath Ledger’s Joker walked accross the room and made Michael Caine’s Alfred (who was suppose to say his lines) freezed. I got chills. (FYI, he was 100% blinded in the movie)
Arrival is not my cup of tea, but Villeneuve definitely wrapped this one well. Too fucking well. Applaud.
I gave 999999/10 for the music scoring, some of fans noticed the original Blade Runner soundtrack was played too here. It’s like a time machine.
Banyak penonton yang buru-buru pengen keluar, bahkan ada beberapa yang keluar sebelum film selesai dan nggak balik lagi, duh.
Banyak juga yang bilang ini “film yang bikin capek” and “ngebosenin”. Well, honey.. you obviously haven’t seen the first one so shut up, your critic is not valid! But if you still don’t like the first one too then I’m sorry, this is not gonna be yours to watch. Don’t waste your time spending almost 3 hours for sitting in a shitty cinema chair that don’t even have lumbar support. (trust me you need them)
And finally, I got water in my eyes when I saw Rachael. She was just so real. I can’t even feel the CGI effects in her. Just Perfect.
Thank’s to Ridley Scott too for this masterpiece. It’d be nice too to know if Leto will get his second Oscar for this. Apparently, he’s always good when he got the role of supporting actor.
Definitely my best 2017 movie.
So far.
“It” is definitely one of my favorite King’s movie along with The Shawshank Redemption (ofkors), The Green Mile, The Mist, and Desperation (ini kebetulan underrated banget.
“It” is literally my best horror so far. Adaptasinya apik, seakan ga cuma sekedar pengen bikin film bagus, tapi juga pengen bikin penulis bangga sama hasilnya.
Everyone would say that The Shining is the best King’s horror movie, yet King himself dislike it because of something about Nicholson’s portrayal of the Dad. Haven’t seen it, tho. Masih parno liat twin-nya…
Tim Curry’s Pennywise was top notch and iconic. Ancient beast with hydrocephalus head, dressed like a clown? Who wouldn’t love it? Come on! (Yes. I love monsters) But seeing Bill Skarsgård’s performance has made me… shook. He definitely knows how to be a ‘clown’ that can be a shape-shifting son of a bitch. He sure has Joker blood in him, gotta replace Leto someday. Hehe.
Beside, “It” really taught us courage and loyalty. I love how these kids fight and struggle, solving their own nightmares.. instead of running from it. Bill with his constant-encounter of his little brother, Bev with her daddy issue, Mike with his burnt-parents, Stan with the lady in the painting (she creeps me out), Eddie with the crippled leprous man chasing over him, Ben and the headless kid, and Richie with…. clowns. (My favorite was Stan’s and Eddie’s. The beasts were too perfect I cried)
I mean who would have thought they could kill him with ONLY their brave? Reminds me about Stranger Things and Super 8 tho. they’re cool too!
I’m not gonna talk about ratings here, they’re cliché. Just wanna say that this is a blockbuster movie, a masterpiece, a must-watch, and a nice warm-up before Halloween.
And there will be a Chapter Two.
Life.
I had to calm my nerves by watching Futurama after Life.
It was a full 1h50m of a suspenseful and breathtaking (I’m talking literally) scenes. Can you imagine how Dementors suck your happy memories? Yes, that’s what it seems.
And the alien… oh the alien… (I’m actually moaning as I write this)
HE WAS A GENUINE BEAUT!
(I’m sorry but seriously, as a monster worshipper, bentuk aliennya bagus banget. Nga kaya alien sebelah yang kapalnya kek tatakan ulekan sambel)
The last time I threw up in my mouth watching movie was Prometheus. You know, that ‘all by herself-C-Section-operation’ scene. And Life just made me do it all over again, I’m so proud. (anaknya kuat liat sesuatu yang gory) Although, Prometheus was stupid to me btw. Cue the gasp.
I even opened every possibilities that could’ve happened in every scenes, and one of them turned out to be the plot twist. The ending was like “YEEES. YEEEES I KNEW IT. I KNEW IT WAS GONNA HAPPEN YEEES.” Seneng amat diumpan plot twist.
Anywho, there’s no excuses to miss any Gyllenhaal’s thrillers. I mean, Nightcrawler, Prisoners, Source Code, Enemy, The Day After Tomorrow, Nocturnal Animal, you name it! He’s gorgeous in any way.
Favorite quotes: “I remember when Challenger blew up… it’s so hard to see people die.”
8.9/10 Tambah 0.1 deh buat plot twist-nya 💙
The Hateful Eight.
I just had an orgasm watching The Hateful Eight, like literally, something popped out of my vagina like 💥💨💦! just like that. As a Quentin Tarantino fangirl; this last movie (katanya), was so bloody majestic. I won’t spoil anything but it’s like watching Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Django (of course), and Reservoir Dogs.. combined! Prolognya panjang, and…. You know the rest. Classic Q, blood everyfuckingwhere. Tim Roth was my man, such a deadly gentleman. Kinda remind me of Dr. Schultz in Django. Jennifer Leigh was a slaaay, ugh! Film terbaiknya Channing Tatum sejauh ini 😂 Favorite quotes?
Bob: are you calling me a liar? Warren: na’ ye’, I ain’t.
Love the Southern-Smoke accent, L. Jackson nails it every time. Trademark scene Tarantino selalu ada (kamera ngeshoot dari bawah, actors berdiri lihat ke kamera) If it really is his last, he did a masterpiece, beautiful closing. Hats off, Q. 🙇

First Beer With A Man
Bernie's Dad : So if your dad died when you were 14, you would never old enough to have a beer with a man?
Sheldon : No, Sir. But, he did try to give me once in my high school graduation. But I was 11, and my mom said no.
Bernie's Dad : Well you're having one with me... *opening beer*
This is stunning, I got goosebumps!
