Listening to the details of the lives of Janet’s band, Lenora had to wonder what exactly went on when you were a rockstar. Was it like the movies? Was it all drugs and sex and booze? She didn’t see Janet any different than the girl from her childhood, but she certainly wasn’t the same. Was she? The same, yes, but not quite. Lenora couldn’t put her finger on it. She was curious if Janet felt the same staring back at her. Except the look in the other woman’s eyes never wavered. An unfiltered love and devotion that Lenora searched for her whole life. It was the very look her parents gave to one another. “I’m glad Sean’s got the offer. But I’m not sure if that means he won’t be playing much for you?” she checked, eyebrows knitting together and willing Janet to decide on whether her reaction was a positive or negative one. “Freddie will find himself his soulmate. In time. Might not be this one, or it might be. But he will,” the blonde added with a smile to her face, a hopeful one for the man. Even if he might’ve not been looking for that at the time. She wasn’t too sure if he was as hopeless of a romantic as she was, after all. He could very well be enjoying his fame and groupies, and passing boyfriends. “Yeah I figured about Kevin. Just thought I’d ask,” Lenora continued on with a small chuckle. How could she forget their affair for three years? It was a wild one. And one Lenora tried to push away from her memory, no matter the amount of times it was brought up in conversation. “Are you…dating anyone right now?” The last she had heard, her best friend was currently single. However, these things changed in a matter of hours. You never could predict who you’d run into - and fall in love with. Just the other day, Lenora had swooned over the man who worked at the local florist shop. But just like all her brief daydreams of being in love with someone she merely passed by, the image disappeared as soon as he rang her up and she exited the shop. Giggling now at the idea of Janet playing chaperone, the daycare teacher nodded her head next to the brunette. “Oh you’d be surprised. They’re not that...robotic. They don’t just fall in line when you need them to.”Noticing the look again, but louder somehow, in Janet’s eyes, Lenora shifted slightly in the bed,“Am not.” Despite her shy behavior, flattered was the correct tone in her voice. She moved closer, bumping her nose against the other woman’s arm, before resting a hand flat against Janet’s shoulder. Her face slowly rose to peek back up at her best friend - a careful and hesitant expression flickering across her features. Until a smile flickered too and she leaned up to sneak a small kiss to Janet’s lips, lingering in the proximity for a moment, “Sorry…” Her voice was barely a whisper, a confused one at that. “Um… Don’t know why I did that, sorry.” She shook her head until some blonde strands fell in front of it, hiding her embarrassed smile.
Having watched and admired many rockstars when she was younger, Janet had a sense of what her future was like when she grew up... if she was successful that is. Luckily for her, life gave her fame and fortune and more importantly, a career that she never regretted going after in the first place. When she had grown up, her personality became a lot more dedicating towards her career; therefore, she was into the whole sex, drugs, and rock and roll persona. What surprised her was that even though she had everything a rockstar like herself could dream of, she still felt a huge emptiness in her heart. To fill that void, she brought groupies backstage, continued doing drugs, and even had excessive smoking rounds, but even with all of those things, she still felt empty. It was then that she realized she knew exactly what--or who was supposed to fill that void. Deep down, Janet was hopeful that Lenora would have the same feelings towards her in the future, but she was extremely worried about losing her completely. She was the one person that she just couldn’t live without... that she wanted to be with forever. “Yeah, unfortunately, he’s got about a few months left with the band. We might have to hold auditions, unless he bails and he stays with us,” she replied with a chuckle. “Oh I know. He doubts himself a hell lot, but hey, he’s my bud. Someone’s bound to like him sooner or later,” Janet followed up on her bandmate, Freddie. However, when she had referred to Kevin, she knew it would hit Lenora the most, considering she had a romantic connection with him in the past. Janet had to admit, she adored him, but she didn’t love him as much as she loved Lenora. He just... wasn’t a woman. When asked if she was dating anyone right now, Janet sighed heavily and shook her head. “No. Haven’t dated anyone ever since him. I had a couple of flings, but they didn’t last long,” she responded, thinking about how she had hooked up with a couple of girls at the IKAG house, including her best friend, Ruby. Nothing too serious ever came out of the encounters unfortunately. She did have her eyes set on her target for years, and she knew she wasn’t ever going to stop on that one, even if it meant taking risks. As they had conversed about Lenora’s job, Janet raised her eyebrows in surprise, not expecting to hear Lenora’s response. “Really? I’d expect one of them to fall out in the very least. But hey, you’re good at that job, I’d probably cause a hell lot of trouble with those kids. As if I don’t cause trouble enough with Zach,” Janet laughed. She playfully rolled her eyes and tapped on the blonde’s shoulder as if to knock some sense into her. “Come on, don’t lie to yourself,” she said in a bit more serious tone. All of a sudden, she felt the tension between the two of them rise greatly. The fact that they had gotten a little too close for comfort was enough for Janet to panic and shake, but surprisingly, she felt the most comfortable she had ever been. She took a moment to just stare in awe of the woman that was laying next to her, as she probably would never again experience another moment like this particular one. She was lovesick and wanted to do something about it. However, her thoughts were interrupted by Lenora bravely giving Janet a small kiss to which she tried to retrieve time to kiss back but to no avail. Her eyes widened in shock, which she quickly realized scared Lenora. She needed to find a way to calm her down and to make her feel like whatever she just did wasn’t bad at all. In fact, it was truly a miracle. As Lenora profusely apologized, Janet shook her head with a smirk and leaned in to kiss her again, a little longer this time, savoring the moment. “I’m not,” she whispered after pulling away to catch air.
Uh, no I’m gay.

Don’t be afraid to be “too much.” Call me 5 times a day because you wanna hear my voice or something came up and you wanna tell me immediately. Text me 12 times in a row when I don’t answer fast enough. Leave me cute texts when you can’t sleep. Hold my hand. Everywhere. Sit really close to me on the couch. Keep your hand on my thigh. Always have a part of you touching a part of me. Tell me you love me every hour I don’t care I want to be smothered in love holy fuck life is too short to hold back.

Don’t worry be happy || Janet & Lenora & Simone & Ruby
It was during her workout when she received the text. ‘Zack’s bedtime is 9pm. Come to our place no later than 9:30 TOPS.’ Followed up by a second text with the address, it got the personal trainer smirking at her phone, sending her reply to the messages not even five seconds later after checking up with Simone. ‘We’ll be there, prepare your ass for our fab arrival.’ She had no idea what they were getting themselves into, but the thought of Janet’s girlfriend being into fourways was definitely one that popped up into her mind, before she went along with the rest of her day. For a change she was the one who had cooked dinner for them tonight, an actual proper one she had made from scratch with the help of one of her lover’s cookbooks. Of course it didn’t taste as long as good as the chef would make it, but it was something. Then, she wasn’t sure how to dress for the night, so she kept it simple with a short hoodie that exposed some of her skin, black skinny jeans underneath and sneakers to make the finishing touch. Her hair safely tied into a bun with some strands falling out here and there, she eventually texted Janet they were about to pull up on the driveway, just so they wouldn’t have to ring the doorbell and wake up the little leprechaun. ‘‘Heeey rockstarrr, we brought food and I made an attempt to bake sugarfree cookies. Sim said they taste good, so I promise you I’m not trying to poison Zack. Speaking of him, I wish I could meet him,’‘ she gave a pout, but then turned it into a big grin as she was playing around with her best friend and pulled her in for a big hug.
Then taking some of the luggage they had brought over so the car could be locked, she got to the blonde. ‘’You must be the famous Lenora I’ve heard about, I’m Ruby, it’s nice to meet you! I’m sure Janet spilled all the beans about me. How I’m a bad singer on stage, ruin her shows, dance like shit and yadayada, just because I put her through Hell sometimes at the gym,’’ she chuckled. Maybe rambling a bit cause of the nerves, it was the first time she met her after all. Checking in, she asked, ‘’is it okay if I hug you too?’’ In case Lenora rather wanted space, she would respect that. ‘’Soooo, what’s it you guys invited us over for? Not anything bad I hope?’’
@janetporter @chefsimcne
“Goodnight, Zack. I love you,” Janet said as she placed a kiss on the boy’s forehead after tucking him in bed for the night. Once she was done, the rock star followed her girlfriend outside of Zack’s room and formed a smug smirk on her face. As she closed the door, Janet bit her lip trying so hard not to scream for joy. “We have the PS4 to ourselves! Finally!” Janet said as she quickly ran down into the basement hoping that her girlfriend would join close by. “Okay, babe, what game should we play? I already finished your ass in Mario Kart the other day, so we should choose something else.” The two women had decided to rummage through the long shelf of games they had chosen out at the store, and frankly, it was quite difficult to just choose one game for Janet. She liked to call herself an expert at each and every one of the games she and Lenora had bought for Zack. However, what caught her eye was the game Just Dance 2, one of the series of games they had out of four. “We should play this!” Janet said holding the game up to Lenora. “Think about how competitive we could get over this.. oh my god, I have an idea! Let’s invite Ruby and Simone over! Since this has four players, we could be more competitive! Plus, we have wine so it would be like a moms go wild night.” At that moment, the rock star took out her phone and texted Ruby telling her best friend to get over to the house before Zack would wake up in the middle of the night for something. “Okay, they should be here within a few minutes. We should at least get everything set up,” Janet said as she kissed her girlfriend’s cheek and ran up the stairs to retrieve the wine bottles. Once the doorbell had rang after a few minutes of waiting patiently, Janet ran straight to the door to open it for Ruby and Simone.
“Hey gorgeous,” Janet replied as she wrapped her arms around the redhead. “Come on in to our humble abode,” she said to the couple and outstretched her hand to show her inside. “Yeah, sorry about Zack. He’s got school tomorrow and he needs to rest up early. Eventually you’ll have the chance to meet him.” When Ruby introduced herself to Lenora, she let the two talk while she offered to help bring in the rest of the luggage. It didn’t take long to finish everything up before Ruby really asked what they were here for. “Well, we have a PS4 now that we got Zack for his birthday/Christmas, and on top of that, we also have all four Just Dance games, soooooo who’s up for a little dance off competition?!”

“When will the siblings come to visit? Oh wait - probably for Christmas and Zack’s birthday? I would hope?” she checked, unsure of what their plans exactly were for the holiday. All she knew was that she had practically denied any rock tours or travels on the brunette’s part. December would be their little family’s month, and Lenora wasn’t going to have it any other way. “I would say I’d cook something for dinner that day, but maybe it’s best we just do takeout. So the Thanksgiving fiasco doesn’t happen again.”
Realizing it was a little early to give a six year old the birds and the bees talk, Lenora nodded her head along with Janet’s logic. Frankly, she was all too happy to take the option of not telling him just yet. Zack was too pure for it. He still liked to cuddle his stuffed toy duck. And go to the zoo. And watch cartoons on the television. And hopefully, he’d never outgrow those things. But, Lenora figured, he might as he became more of his own person. “Ooh, you’re right. Definitely don’t want to draw on the wrath of the PTA moms. They scare me sometimes. They’re so skilled with their cutlery.” At this, the blonde giggled and let herself relax into Janet’s embrace. It was the most secure place she had ever known, and she never wanted to leave it. “Sooo, what do you want for Christmas, hm?” Lenora asked with a playful voice, taking on an edgier approach if only to mess with her girlfriend. She kissed the other woman’s cheek cutely, but wiggled her eyebrows suggestively - if only to grin after.
“Yeah, they usually tag along with Lou during the holidays. I’m positive that they’ll be coming then, no need to worry,” Janet responded with a smile, feeling lucky enough that Zack’s birthday happened to land on Christmas Day so none of her family members would have to miss any of the action. Janet was full focused on her girlfriend and her adoptive son, so she remained faithful by keeping the month of December closed off from any shows or tours. They were more important to her than music. “Yeah, let’s just order six boxes of deep dish pizza and call it Christmas dinner. I don’t want to spend four hours cleaning up the kitchen again,” Janet joked.
Janet knew it would be best for Zack to not hear about having crushes just yet, unless he were to experience it for himself, then she would give into talking about it with him. As of now, she wanted the best for her little boy and for him to be happy among all things. However, how could he not be happy with the addition of Janet further into Lenora’s life? She was around more often than usual and she loved spending time with him. Janet wanted to keep Zack pure for as long as possible until it was time for him to grow up and learn some life lessons. “Exactly, so it’s best that you just steer away from those people, especially the moms. The only way to not fall into that sort of fiasco is to make a good impression on them,” she said with a reassuring smile and then laughed at how the moms were so skilled with cutlery. As she embraced her girlfriend, Janet closed her eyes and hummed softly not caring that other people were probably watching them from afar. “What do I want?” she asked before noticing Lenora’s suggestive maneuver and then moved in front of her to look her in the eyes. “I want.. your love and affection,” she teased suggestively as she moved some of Lenora’s hair away from her face. “Just so I could give you some in return..” with that, Janet’s lips were on the other woman’s cheek and neck for a hot moment, but she pulled away and then got serious. “But honestly... I really wish we had the chance to go back home for a while. I just want to be able to relive some of the memories we had as kids.”
Friendaversary || Madam Presidents

Shaking her head at the sight of her best friend being a complete mess, she recalled how her own morning had been. A certain black cat had been chewing and tugging at her hair so badly it had woken her up with a grudge. Her fiance kissing it better of course, she was still all squinty eyes at the tiny animal that was Simone’s child. Madonna didn’t do such horror, she was the sweetest child ever. ‘’Ten minutes too long, Janet Porter!’’ Ruby tsk’ed at the closing window, pursing her lips as she tried to hide the grin that was clearly showing in her eyes. Instead, she got back in the car again and played with snapchat on her phone, checked out the new filters and sent the craziest one to Paulie - receiving one back in no time of course, because he was just as extra as her. Both ‘hating’ on life so early in the morning. It made her chuckle before she saw a familiar figure go around the car and she opened the door for her. ‘’Morning,’’ she flashed the same shit grin to her best friend again. ‘’Turn around, let me do your hair,’’ she instructed with a twirl of her finger, reaching over to her purse to grab an elastic and divided Janet’s hair in three thick locks before braiding it nice and tidy. ‘’There, so your hair won’t get in the way today, cause believe me, you’re gonna need it.’’ About ten minutes later, she pulled up at a Starbucks drive in, ordered her usual order. ‘’A caramel macchiato for me please, grande… and a…’’ she questioned her friend with a gesture of her hand, ‘’…question mark for madam.’’ The redhead waited for her reply, before ordering for her too. ‘‘-Oh! And extra sugar for both of us, please!’‘ She said with wider eyes than she intended to, the craving suddenly hitting her.
‘‘So,’‘ she started out after she had paid for the coffee and they were back on the road again, her own coffee in the cupholder in between their chairs, ‘‘it’ll be about a 45 minute drive, want me to turn on the radio for music to jam to or do you got some crazy stories to tell from last night?’‘
Janet knew that today was their special day, but what she didn’t expect was her best friend to wake her up near after the crack of dawn. If anything, Janet would’ve prepared for something like this well over 24 hours ahead of time, but considering she didn’t have the time to do so, Janet was a struggling mess trying to find an outfit to wear and how to style her hair within only a good ten or fifteen minutes as a time window. Of course, she couldn’t get anything properly done as she had heard the car horn going off again. “I’m coming!” she screamed throughout her home even though Ruby was outside waiting in her car. As Janet attempted to brush her own hair, she made one stroke through and half of her head became frizzy. “Fuck!” she yelled in the mirror before throwing her brush across the room and grabbing her purse to head out the door. Janet kept quiet until she finally reached the car and sat in the passenger seat sighing heavily to herself and holding her forehead with one hand. “Ugh,” she replied. “You know I love you dearly.. like with all my little heart, but couldn’t you have warned me about this like... I don’t know, yesterday?” Janet finally acknowledged Ruby as she turned away from Ruby so the redhead could fix up her hair. “Why would we need it? Are we going kickboxing again or something?” she asked as she touched up on the braid to make sure it was secure. Once the two were ready, they headed off to Starbucks for a good morning treat. Janet needed the coffee considering her lack of sleep was slowly getting to her by the second. “I’ll have the same thing! Definitely extra sugar!” she shouted toward the drive thru speaker. Once they finally got their coffees, Janet smiled back at her best friend and awaited what she was about to do next.
“Thanks for the coffee. I thought my anger was going to explode,” Janet laughed as she took a sip of her coffee and laid back in the seat listening intently to her best friend. “Well.. I don’t really have a crazy story from last night, but the night before. You might wanna be careful with driving because it gets pretty intense!”
