55FIFTY7′s Young Designer

55FIFTY7, the diamond studio, hosted an exciting competition that offers children the chance to channel their creative skills by designing a pendant with a theme of Happiness. Young talented designers created a style that reflects their personality.

The grand winner, AK (Akerke Imanzhanova) from Singapore, explained her winning piece as:

“The pendant resembles a panther surrounded by stars, both have special meaning to them. The panther is a solitary animal that can travel alone and can live well in the dark, in a way this represents my personality, I am an introverted person that treasures their alone time to grow and learn new things. The panther outline and the lines inside are made from precious metals covered in silver and the eye is represented by e tear cut stone, preferably by a blue or a tortoise colour. The stars surrounding the panther are actually a Morse Code for “art”.

I consider myself a creative person and it is the source of my happiness. It interconnects with me being an introvert, I spend most of my alone time improving my art skills and it brings me happiness to so my improvements and how it can help other people, even if I can’t see clear results I know I am still going one step further into my future. The stars are connected to the circle skeleton and what holds them together is the same material that holds the panther. As for the stars, they are made from special cut stones according to the sketch in white colour.”

They announced the winner on VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show at World Trade Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
