When c!Slime died the first time he said “Thank you for teaching me how to be human. Maybe I almost was.” and that in itself is tear jerking, yes, but what really fucks me up about that scene is that when he says “Maybe I almost was,” You can’t fucking hear it. You can’t fucking hear him, I didn’t even hear it at first, and you know why? You know why we couldn’t hear him? Because Quackity was screaming and crying his name over it all. He was placing sand and water and everything he could think of to get Slime out of the lava, and he kept screaming, and he said his name over and over even when it was done and he was gone and the name “Slime” didn’t even mean anything to anyone anymore, Quackity kept screaming for him to stay alive and it fucks me up so bad, because of course he did.
