Since my posts have been getting decent attention, I felt like I should make an introduction post for this blog.

Hello! This is a blog where I post pretty much anything I feel like sharing with others; whether that be rambles about characters or ships I like, random thoughts I have on something, silly observations, and anything else. I'll occasionally share my art here and I kindly ask that you do not repost it anywhere.

You might've noticed that my description says I might use this to promote my game. I'm thinking of making a separate blog for that, and if I do, I'll edit it here. But I am working on something! And it's got a cool story, colorful characters, and mayhaps even queerness.

Princess Peach is so cool and amazing. I can't believe there was a period in my life where I stopped liking her simply because the internet said she was "useless".

Welcome back to another episode of "me combining my interests because it makes me happy". Ever since getting into Genshin, I've enjoyed thinking about what characters would look like in the Genshin world, specifically when it comes to Visions and weapons. So I thought, "What if I assigned Team RWBY Genshin weapons and Visions?" So that's what I'm going to do. Because I think that's fun. :)
Ruby Rose
Weapon - this one's actually tricky. Because Crescent Rose is a large scythe and seems to have some weight to it, so you'd think the simple answer would be Ruby being a Claymore character. But then I remembered that Arlecchino's signature weapon is a scythe, and it counts as a Polearm. I'm personally assigning Ruby as a Claymore type, but either option could work.
Vision - I want to say Dendro simply because of Ruby's association with roses. But if we want to go for something a little more unique, I'd say either Pyro or Anemo. Pyro because of her passion for being a huntress and helping others, and Anemo because it'd grant her the freedom to be a huntress (if I'm understanding the theme of Anemo users correctly) (Also, it'd continue the trend of Anemo users having a dead friend/someone close to them dying...... I'm sorry :( )
Weiss Schnee
Weapon - Sword. That should be obvious lol
Vision - Also obvious: Cryo. Her story actually lines up with the theme of Cryo characters if you think about it, that being having a conflict in their lives. For Weiss, it's being a Schnee and not wanting to live up to that name.
Blake Belladonna
Weapon - I'd say Sword fits the most.
Vision - this one is also a little tricky because Blake is associated with shadows, but there is no elemental equivalent to darkness. Then again, we have Skirk, a character obviously associated with the Abyss and has Abyss-themed attacks, but she's still assigned Cryo, so I guess Blake could still have shadow-themed attacks and be assigned an element. Anyway, the first element you might be thinking of is Electro; it's purple and Blake's story can fit the theme of Electro characters, that being unchanging in their ways (in this case, Blake keeps fighting for what's right). But hear me out on this: Blake being Hydro. Hydro and its nation of Fontaine are associated with justice and ideals, and we can see this with the Hydro characters. I feel like this would suit Blake because of her strong sense of justice and wanting to fight against Faunus oppression.
Yang Xiao Long
Weapon - Catalyst but specifically a Catalyst user that uses their fists (like Wriothesley)
Vision - Pyro. Pyro users have something they're passionate about, and that also happens to fit Yang.
And... yeah. That's what I think Team RWBY's weapons and Visions would be if they were characters in hit video game Genshin Impact. This was fun to think about, especially for the ones where the answer wasn't clear. I might consider doing this for Team JNPR or even other non-RWBY characters if people are interested and I feel like it.

you don’t realize how important lunch is until you’re wandering around thinking about how unloveable and untalented and uniquely cursed you are and then it’s 4pm and you finally eat lunch and you go Oh. oh right.
Genuine question: have Rosaria and Diluc ever interacted while they were doing their "protecting Mondstadt at night" stuff? Obviously we know Diluc is the Darknight Hero, and Rosaria's Character Stories say that she kinda does the same thing. But is there any canonical evidence that they have come across each other while out on patrol?
I ask this because I saw some Rosaluc-related posts recently, and that made me remember that Rosaria also protects Mondstadt in her own non-Favonius way. And that made me ask myself "Wait... do the two know about the other...?"
I really want to know if they've ever interacted at night because it just makes sense, y'know? Surely, they've had to have run into each other at least once, right? I don't remember any mention of this in any of the lore, unless there was something from an event I missed (I joined back in the second half of 2.6).
I'm imagining a scenario where they both jump a group of Treasure Hoarders, and the two look at one another like "hmmm, I know this person". Then the next day when Rosaria walks into the Angel's Share, they lock eyes for a second before she sits down and orders her usual. As Diluc hands Rosaria her drink, she gives him a look that says "Your secret is safe with me."

Version 1 is to make him a little closer to his manga design and 2 is to make him closer to how he looks in official art (but with freckles too bc he deserves them!!!)
I’ve kept his original eye size and facial feature placement, but just changed the shape of his eyes and brows and added more detail. Ik ppl don’t generally like Diluc redesigns but I really wanted to give it a go without reducing any of his features while also giving him a more updated look
Bit of a ramble abt his design, character and mischaracterisations (buckle up its a long one)
When I say that I really, really want him to get a redesign, it’s coming from a place of only love because I absolutely adore this man and have for the past 5 years. I love his manga design and his big round eyes, I think it does a very good job at giving him a very owlish look, especially with his small pupils and that little ring in his iris. It does such a good job at portraying his youthfulness and babyface but with a bit of uneasiness bc of his owl eyes.
My biggest problem with Diluc’s in game model isn’t his babyface or how big his eyes are and where they are on his face, it’s the execution of it that I’m talking about. Don’t get me wrong, he’s absolutely adorable and I love his goofy big bug eyes, but to me it feels like they’ve changed his eye shape and stripped away loads of his features; his little eyelashes at the bottom of his eyes, his thin red eyebrows, his eye colour being too dark to see his small pupil (which is supposed to give him that owlish look) and the biggest crime of all which is his SUPER fluffy wavyish hair that’s now flat and just there. Yes, it’s an early game model, but then you also look at Kaeya who arguably is one of the best executed models out there. He has his little eyelashes, he’s got loads of detail in his eye and even his hair is pretty well done for early game standards.
The thing that makes me the most sad about the model is that there’s such a lack of detail. I love his eyelashes, they’re also much longer in official art and manga, which makes him look more feminine, and his eyebrows being super thin too. I love love love that Diluc is supposed to be a very feminine man, I love the way that all the official art gives him a dainty and careful look, because he kind of is. Yes he’s strong and an insane fighter, but that doesn’t mean that he’s not soft and caring. I don’t mind that much when ppl give him a little extra muscle on his arms bc claymore user and what not, honestly something that really irks me is when femininity is constantly attributed to skinniness and needing to look frail. Femininity shouldn’t equal not having any muscle or masculine features, it’s a whole massive spectrum. I absolutely hate it especially when buff fem women get drawn as masculine and tomboys but in reality that character would wear a dress and be dolled up despite their body shape eg Scorpia from She Ra.
That’s not to say that I don’t hate it when ppl make Diluc Varka 2.0 though, because at that point you’re not making him buff for the sake of logic, it’s also usually accompanied by reducing all of his other features and completely changing his character’s personality. While I don’t mind ppl giving him maybe bigger arms and just a smidge of stockiness in comparison to Kaeya, but keeping in mind though that Diluc is also supposed to be quite lean because he’s agile and stealthy. I absolutely despise it when ppl turn him into mini Varka bc they get rid of his soft round features and make them really sharp. Something else that really irks me is in fics when they turn him into this overconfident dom kinda guy that’s super bossy and cold, only caring about what he wants. There is a damn good reason that I can only read fluff and even just skimming past stuff that turns him into that hurts me sm 😭 This man is an absolute sweetheart who would take every single step to make sure that you are okay in any type of scenario. He’s very caring and it really doesn’t take long to see that side of him. Just go to his voice lines! His tcg card description is literally “his heart is his biggest enemy”.
That’s not to say that mischaracterisation can’t go the other way too though, bc I’ve also seen ppl turning him into a completely innocent bbygirl that can’t do anything wrong and is only sweet and shy, forgetting that this guy committed mass murder in his past and still sees nothing wrong with it (yes they were bad ppl but they were just that: people). He’s also a vigilante that can and will kill if needed, he has a shady network of ppl with Nefer at the top who has also done questionable things, and he’s also the richest guy in Mondstadt. He’s morally grey, and I love that. He’s young, thinks that he’s matured now but is actually trying to run away from his past by putting on big guy clothes and a mask. You can see his immaturity shine through with both his physical appearance and his behaviour, being very sarcastic and sassy as well as a bit of a drama queen. He can get petty and mischievous and is incredibly easily rage-baitable lmao. I love how much that contrasts against his generally stoic but calm demeanour, it makes him human. You can tell he’s a 22 year old trying to act older than he is, and as a 22 year old myself I can say that him and Kaeya act realistic to their age more than most characters in the game. I genuinely think that Diluc is one of the best written characters in Genshin and he has soooo much potential. Heck, I main him and he even does nearly as much damage as my Varka, just a bit slower. I just wish that they made his design more accurate to what he should actually look like and that maybe one day we’ll get get a redesign, who knows.
Anyways sorry about the MASSIVE ramble, I just love him so much and wanted to get all that out. If you stuck through it all, congrats here’s a gold star ⭐

20: A weird headcanon
OK, so a weird headcanon I have for this guy is he thinks he can talk to birds. One of his voice lines has him admiring owls, and we know he has a pet hawk. So, I can picture him trying to mimic birds' calls. However, he truly believes he can send them messages this way.
Like, for his hawk, he may try to tell the bird where to go (he has a weird screech, though). For song birds, he might whistle to wish them a nice day.
If Kaeya saw Diluc doing this, he very likely would be weirded out. "Those birds don't know what you're saying, Diluc," he sighs, shaking his head.
my problem is if i enjoy something enough i will be nitpicking. i Will have things to say about where and how it failed. out of nothing but love straight from my heart. unfortunately this often makes me indistinguishable from a hater who has never experienced joy or kindness. such is the amateur critic's burden.
fanfic writers will go "anyone gonna explore the kinda fucked up or emotionally impactful implications of this minor canon detail?" and then not wait for an answer.
Tumblr users love to do things like this. I DO NOT mean this in a mocking way to be completely clear. I think it's cute. It reminds me of back in the day when people shipped jack frost and elsa cause they both have ice powers.
Or like the superwholock thing. Tumblr users like to go "I like this thing AND that thing.. What if my FAVORITE CHARACTERS met each other? Would that be cool or WHAT!" And the thing is it's absolutely adorable
You can say it's cringe or bad or missing the point of the movie all you want but I don't care. Yeah man, I bet it would be really cute if there was a happy ending and the blood murder man (in space) got saved by the dorky science teacher (in space) and they had yaoi moments. I'm so glad you're having fun
