Asher raised an eyebrow. He didn’t like to be the jealous boyfriend, and he knew that Jan and Spencer were roommates and all but…

Oh. He’s… okay, y’know?

Biting his lip, Asher intertwined his fingers with January. This is why he didn’t like people knowing about their relationship. They interfered and tried to change things; they got between them and tried to insert ideas that didn’t need to be there. 

When Asher finally pulled into the parking garage, he paused for a moment, taking off his seatbelt but not bothering to get out of the car just yet.

Just okay? January figured that he could tolerate that. It was better than he had expected with a conversation involving the two of them. 

He has some pretty damning accusations...

This was mentioned quietly, as Jan watched Asher hold still even after there was no reason for him to remain in the car. It was worrisome to say the least. Maybe this topic of conversation hadn't been the best to bring up at the moment, but if it were causing trouble, then it was best to address it.

Asher was secretly happy that January wouldn’t listen to Spencer. Searching for January’s hand, he grabbed it tightly and kissed the back of his hand, teeth nipping at the skin a little to let January know he was paying attention to him.

Jan initially opened his mouth to make some sort of rebuttal, but closed it again when he couldn't think of one.

Well...he says nice things at night sometimes when I let him take the comforters. 

That was really all Jan could think of. Spencer said mildly nice things often, but in different ways that people might expect. He really was pleasant to be around, if you could handle the strength of his personality. Perhaps that was why he got on so well with January. 

Except for when he planted seeds of doubt inside Jan's head, like he had earlier.

Spencer hadn’t liked Asher since… ever, he supposed—but even more so when January and him had started dating. The first time.

Oh, he knows. He was trying to set me up with someone earlier and I told him we were back together. He threw this fit or something and said some not so nice things. 

January shrugged, sitting back further in his seat and watching out the window casually. 

It's not like I'm about to listen to him, however.

Asher just rolled his eyes, reveling in the kiss before reaching over and threading a hand through January’s hair, caressing his head lovingly.

I swear, January. If we get back, you’re not leaving for a very long time.

Mm, not if Spencer drags me out by my ear like a disobedient child. 

This was said whilst January scrolled through the ongoing conversation he'd been having with Spencer through text, before electing to just shut his phone off in it's entirety and relax under Asher's touch. 

It's not like it matters anyways. He's not my mother.

Whining, Asher pushed his hips back against January’s, leaning forward for a kiss, but January had pushed him away and gotten into the car oh so fucking nonchalantly and it made Asher all the harder—unfortunately.

Ugh. You’re not fair.

Climbing into the driver’s seat, Asher quickly maneuvered his way out of the sand, back onto the road, and nearly speeding back to the university.

I swear, January, when we get back, you’re definitely not getting dinner.

Don't you mean 'if' we get back? Good god slow down you're going to take someone out. Some poor pedestrian and then you'll get charged with manslaughter. 

With a chuckle, Jan leaned over and kissed Asher's temple before returning to his should be position. 

Life isn't fair.

Reaching the car, Asher backed Jan up against the car door, having full intention to open the door for him but getting caught up and capturing his lips in a gentle kiss. Dammit—January was a drug; Asher’s drug. It was hard to pull away from him, and having just newly become a couple again, Asher was still high on January.

I want to do so many things to you, Jan—with you. 

He didn’t know if Jan knew what he was talking about, but he was sure their hips did a lot of talking.

Jan's back hit the car and on instinct he arched forward, pulling Asher closer by the belt loops before pressing upwards and turning what should have been innocent into something drenched in sin. Whoops. That's just what Jan did, and Asher should have learnt to expect it by now. 

Mm. Not now. You can wait. 

As calmly as if it had never happened, January  slunk away from Asher's grip and into the car.

Hauling January to his feet quickly, Asher chuckled, pressing their foreheads together, walking backwards slowly, staring deeply into his eyes. 

Then let’s go back to the dorm and… I can do… we can…

He suddenly lost his words. He had this whole flirty speech in his mind but then it degraded and faded into nothing as he realized how stupid it sounded and how January’s eyes lit up like fire as it reflected the sunset.

Quickly, for his own ease, Jan spun Asher around to face correctly while walking, a smile splitting his features at the other's wholehearted attempt to speak. 

Let's go, you dork. We'll figure out whatever's going to happen when we get there, yeah? 

Asher was smothering, and January needed something to hold him down and rip breath from his lungs every so often. Asher could give and take as he so pleased, and falling victim to that was just as Jan had wished for. He didn't care, because he needed it. Had anyone else shown that much power over his life, Jan would have shoved them away abruptly. Hell, he'd even tried. But this....this was okay. This was acceptable. This was safe.

Whining, Asher nuzzled Jan’s neck, holding him tightly.

C’mon. I can make us something when we get back to the dorm.

He was already tugging at Jan’s shirt, placing harmless kisses on his collarbone and shoulder.

Everything Asher did made it hard for Jan to focus. He was already loosing his ability to concentrate and Asher was hardly even doing anything. 

Normally I wouldn't object, but we are in a public place under broad daylight and I don't feel like getting slapped with a 'sex offender' charge, love.

That would not look good on his record, whatsoever.

His hand instinctively slide up Jan’s thigh, squeezing gently as he pulled him closer, their hips and crotches fitting together nicely. If they didn’t get back to their dorm, Asher would be tempted to have sex on the beach.
