Alexa Chung, former model who has won the British Style award three times and has had a Mulberry bag named after has recently let us into her world via her new autobiography. This book was first revealed to the world in September 2013, and it has created much controversy since.  People commenting on her photos saying things regarding to her weight have bombarded Alexa.  However I think that her photographs of her are just as controversial as the fashion world, just as the book seems to be controversial between whether it should be a fashion how-to book, or an autobiography. The pages bound between the simple but eloquent, faded pink cover describe how her style came about.  She talks about the individuality and empowerment that The Spice Girls gave her.  Annie Hall teaching her that you can dress like a tomboy and still look very prim and proper.  There is an endless list of people that inspire her style.  She gives her opinion on books, music, relationships, and makeup, and what her favorites are and how to’s on makeup.  One of my favorite quotes from the book is one that her mother said about heartbreaks: “Nobody goes through life without having their heart broken and one day you’ll wake up and it will be okay.” Either that or “That which doesn’t kill you makes you wanna die.” I can’t decide.  For all the Instagramers she even tells the reader how to take a proper picture or “selfie” in the mirror.  She says to have good lighting, have an awesome outfit, and snap a picture when you have got the perfect position with you face either behind the camera, or peeking out a little.  Helpful, I think yes.This book is a mix of many things, that makes it seem like a drunk college student going to school for photography and great information on fashion icons put the book together.  The book is choppy, but yet it still has a nice flow.  I really do admire how truthful she was saying that she is a “Self- confused groupie”.  This quote refers to all of the lead singers that she has dated, and coming out about relationships and almost bagging on herself takes a lot out of a person.  I adore that about her.

All in all “It” truly had the essence of Alexa in it.  It was original, spunky,stylish, clever, and had hints of humor laced throughout.

Hey this is Jensen, Alyicia Rosa and I are starting this blog in hopes that it will get us off the ground towards we really want, and that is to have our own magazine.  In this blog we will be telling you about up and coming music from Alycia being the country queen, Rosa being the new punk/ rock band girl, and me being the girl who is heavily infatuated in alternative music, and finding new music.  We will also talk about fashion and what the up and coming trends of the seasons will be.  

Books are a must have in our blog because lets face it i would rather read than go out and be social.  We will tell you about the books and series that we love and take any of your suggestions on the books we should read. 

Food is another topic that I personally will be putting on the blog due to the endeavor of wanting to be a chef since i was 10.  Recipes, places to eat, and anything that you would ever need to know, like what to cook for your girlfriend/ boyfriend.

We are definitely open to any suggestions that you can think of.  You can give us new topics to write about, or if you are inconsequently in love with a band/ book/store and you want us to check it out we definitely will, so please do not hesitate.
