I’ve seen quite a few blogs go completely ballistic about these three ships or imagine couples and I can honestly say that it bugs the shit out of me. I’m going to say this proudly and I don’t care about the backlash or the effects of it. If you want to write imagines about these three things you can and you are allowed to it doesn’t matter what anyone says. I don’t care if people say it is homophobic because frankly I believe that it is not. And I don’t care if people say it is incest because frankly I believe that it is not. Tumblr is a place for people to be who they are and not have to hide it. It’s a place where a bunch of people go to to get that short amount of time to escape the reality that they live in and if they want to make a post about Alec being straight/gay/pan/bi/ECT. They can. It does not matter if you don’t like it. It’s a way for them to either express themselves or for them to show what they can do. If you don’t like that then don’t read it. Don’t comment on it. Just ignore it. What’s the point in bashing on someone’s hard work? They spent their time and dedication to make it. If you don’t like it that means it wasn’t made for you. Your opinion is not the only one they get. They make these things because it makes them feel good and it makes the people who read them feel good. That’s how it goes. So if you don’t ship these things or if you don’t like them. Ignore it! Don’t comment because there is no sense in ruining someone’s day or their post with your negativity. If you don’t ship Clalec because you dislike homosexual people and/or have prejudices against them: Congratulations, you’re NOT homophobic! 🎉

People ship Clalec because they have great on-screen chemistry. It’s a coincidence that Alec is homosexual. If he was not, people would still ship him with Clary. In conclusion, people don’t ship Clalec because Alec is homosexual but despite which is why the ship is not homophobic.
