Coffee Kicks|| Jared and Lulu

Lulu had met a new boy in town and was excited to get to know him. Jared seemed like a really nice kid from what she had seen of him so far. He seemed to be rather quiet from what she’d seen of him but he was good to her so far. She wanted to make sure he felt welcome since she knew what it was like to come into a school full of sharks. She wasn’t a fan of how Ridgeway worked with cliques but she went with it since she was a ringleader. She loved her life as a band geek. It gave her purpose as a Bandit. Anyway she had asked Jared for coffee and was ready to go meet him.

Lulu got dressed in her favorite jean shorts and blue top. She threw her furry vest on top and her favorite necklace. She grinned as she looked at herself in the mirror as she ran out of the house and down the road to Lydia’s Cafe to go meet Jared and to get to know the new boy. She was excited to finally get out of the house and maybe get some caffeine in her system. She had been dead with all the work she was doing on her newest concerto. She sat down at one of the tables and waited as she pulled out her phone and began checking her email.

Jared would hate to admit that Ridgeway high was completely intimidating for him. High school wasn't a breeze at any of the schools that he had attended since freshmen year. Jared had been kicked out of most of the schools that he attended and not many people knew that about him. On the surface Jared appeared quiet and maybe a bit mysterious, but on the inside he was fighting a lot of demons and it wasn't something that anyone in their right mind would be proud of. However, despite his rough past, he was determined to start over and Ridgeway could be better, if he made it so. Change was never easy, though, and the thought of trying to become a different and better person mildly freaked him out. Jared had been hiding in his house for a while, when he finally met someone that he wouldn't mind hanging out with, Lulu. When the girl mentioned that she needed a caffeine fix and offered him to come along, he was in no way going to refuse her.

Before leaving to meet the girl, Jared casually checked his mirror and made sure that he looked decent enough, not wanting to leave any negative impression. Jared was dressed rather casually and wasn't out to impress anyone, but he never wanted to look like complete trash. The coffee shop wasn't a place that required him to wear a suit and tie so he settled with a plain dark t-shirt and some blue jeans. The drive to the coffee shop was very quick and he was surprised by how little people were there. In Brooklyn, the coffee shops were always packed with hipsters and business men and the lines were unbearable. The sight of the girl waiting casually for him relaxed him a bit. "Hey." He said as he sat down next to her calmly and looked around the place a little bit distracted. "I'm sorry if I kept 'ya waiting long, love. I was trying to make sure this was the right place." He laughed simply and gave her a shy smile.
