Jasmine Abrams had never been known to be an ‘early’ person. In fact, she was very rarely an ‘on time’ person. But for the last few weeks, the brunette had been showing up a good half hour early for any work she had at the Marbella. She’d plop down at the bar and sit around waiting. Most people thought it was just coincidence, or maybe whatever she had been doing before was close to the Marbella and so it was easier to just wait at the hotel instead of going home first and then making the commute all over again.
But today, as she waited at the bar, messing around on her phone, and a certain blonde sous chef emerged from the kitchen, one might have guessed that Jasmine’s reasons had very little to do with convenience and much more to do with said blonde.
“Okay, so here’s what I’m thinking,” she began as soon as she saw Cody approaching, “that suffle from last week should definitely make the cut. And the cinnamon sugar pineapple dish... well, it should too.” she added, offering the blonde a sheepish smile. Jasmine was probably a terrible person to ask to decide between two things. She could never offer up any criticism. But also, all of Cody’s dishes were simply too good.
