Finally, Google Home chills out a bit
Google is rolling out an update that lets users speak to Google Assistant on Nest speakers without repeating âHey Googleâ for every follow-up request. Once activated, the assistant will stay in a more conversational mode for a short time, allowing back-and-forth commands more naturally.
This builds on an earlier feature called Continued Conversation, but the new version feels more seamless and reliable. Instead of constantly triggering the wake phrase, users can ask follow-up questions or give additional commands while the assistant is still âlistening.â
The change is part of Googleâs broader push to make Assistant feel less rigid and more like a real conversation partner. It also reflects growing competition from more advanced AI assistants that already support fluid, multi-turn interactions.
For now, the feature is limited to certain devices and regions, but itâs expected to expand over time.
My Feedback:
Itâs a small tweak, but honestly one of those things that makes voice assistants feel way less annoying in everyday use.
