Okay, so like this finale was not as bad as I thought. I mean, Iris might still be alive which would be a bummer. But we still got a Snowbarry scene. Which is what this oneshot is about. It’s how it should have gone but it didn’t and it might be a little short too. Just saying
As Barry watched Caitlin and her mother head for the door, he felt this pressure against his heart.
He didn’t want her to go, not ever.
His own voice had surprised him, not knowing that he would do that.
Caitlin turned around as Barry continued while glancing at Carla.
“Do you think I could talk to Caitlin for a few more minutes? I just have something that I need to say and if I don’t, then I’ll never do.”
Carla nodded. “I’ll be in the hall.”
Caitlin closed the door and turned to Barry. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah. I just wanted to telling you something. Uh, I think- I know- that you’re amazing and talented and so beautiful. You and Frost. Working with you all these years has been the best years of my life and I’m glad that I have a fellow scientist that I can nerd out with.”
“But I don’t feel something the way I do for you.”
Caitlin’s voice got caught in her throat as Barry continued
“I know that a part of me has feelings for you, Caitlin. I can’t deny it anymore. I’ve pushed them down for too long. And who knows what would’ve happened if I had done something about them. Maybe you and I would be married instead. Maybe we wouldn’t have this mission to rescue Kamila and Iris. It would just be you and me at the loft, we could start our own family. They’d all be as beautiful as you always are.”
He sighed. “But it’s not like that right now, is it? All I can do is wait for you to come back to us. To me. You said something once to me, and I don’t know about you, but I believe it. You said that we’re quite the pair. And we are quite the pair, Dr. Snow.”
Barry had gotten closer as he spoke to her and once glance at her lips and his was on hers. Her hands went up to his cheeks as his went to her waist.
Caitlin knew that this kiss was better than the one she shared with Everyman because this time, it was actually Barry.
She was kissing Barry and he was kissing her back.
His lips were soft as hers were too. Each kiss got deeper and more passionate than the last and Caitlin didn’t realize they were moving back until her back was against the wall.
They were startled by a knock on the door which made them jump apart.
They knew it was Carla, wanting them to hurry up so they went over to the door to open it.
Caitlin nodded as she glanced back at Barry, who looked at her lovingly in pain and sadness because he didn’t want her to go.
His hand found hers and he pulled her against him.
“Please, when you’re all better, please come back to me. I can’t get through this phase of my life without having you to say all the right things.”
“I’ll come back. I promise. And if you ever need me to say the right thing, I’m only one call away.”
“I’m going to miss you a lot.”
She was surprised and startled when he kissed her again, but nonetheless, she kissed him back just at passionately as he was. Carla smirked, knowing that the talk they had was most likely one of a confession.
They parted and Caitlin finally left with her mom, leaving Barry alone in her apartment. As they walked to the cab, Carla turned to Caitlin.
“So, I’m assuming you feel the same way about him as he does for you?”
Frost’s voice rang out in Caitlin’s head first.
