・° / eyes narrowed a little as the man spoke, the idea of someone just casually being born with the ability to replicate powers sounding … well, sounding like a piss-poor excuse —— it didn’t take a genius to figure out that something was clearly off with his explanation. still, said eyes did manage a roll when he implied she’d tried to blow him up, a hand lifting towards a street lamp a little ways down the alley —— it burst, glass flying for a split second before all shard froze in mid air, the little flame that had started to spark freezing as well. “ i tried to freeze you and walk past, you’d unfreeze in a few minutes —— you ate up the wrong power, amigo. “ nose wrinkled as she unfroze the mess she’d made, the sound of glass falling reaching her ears as she turned to look up at the stranger. “ y'know, ’m not a genius or anything, but i wouldn’t call whatever you did a defect. sounds like you’re in denial or something —— not that i blame you. this shit’s not exactly fun. “
he hummed faintly as he watched her, an amused grin playing at his lips as he shrugged yet again. “neat trick - same concept, probably all one thing - just backwards, forwards, paused.” his gaze flicked to her face, studying her for a moment as she spoke. he guessed it was fair to assume whatever the hell he was doing was an ability, but it didn’t quite add up. “everyone knows you all with powers were born on the same day - ten days before i was. so, like i said, just a defect. shit just doesn’t work on me, plus i pull some copycat shit - guessing it came from my family, but can’t say i’ve met ‘em so who knows.”
