[Camila takes in every word of Lauren's entirely, never the best at expressing her own, the thought of reciprocated feelings made her heart beat out of her chest. She's in love with her, and has never felt more confident.]
Camila: A girl against commitments, huh? How did I get so lucky that you've changed your mind?
[It’s the second time Lauren's asked her accompany a red carpet and Camila acts as if any part of her needs a second to think. Her lips press together so a light 'hmmm' is her only reply, head tilting towards her left shoulder for her own emphasis.]
Camila: Lauren Jauregui, are you asking me to go public with you?
[The idea perks Camila up immediately and through her surprised tone, enthusiasm is superior.]
Camila: Of course I'll go with you. It's hard to believe you're even asking me to something as huge as the AMA's and all I've ever taken you to is a photoshoot
Camila: I want to see you.
[Laughter was released upon plum lips followed by sheepish smile, tucking her fizzled hair to the side. Linger on the playful question tossed, she wasn't sure what Camila did to make her push through her issues regarding on commitments it was simply because the idea of being with Camila out-weight everything else.]
Lauren: That's for me to know and for you to never find out.
[ The sound what she could only assume was pure excitement brought overwhelming happiness on the artist end. Little things such as taking the person you love out and showing them off to the rest of the world was a luxury that Lauren sometimes can't afford and to finally have that was beyond words could express.]
Lauren: I mean its just right that my girlfriend accompanies me to one of the biggest events in my life right? Who needs an award when I can have you standing right by my side? You're the best trophy any girl could ever wish for.
[Casually she drops the biggest bomb refusing to confront to the normalcy of asking someone to be their girlfriend because since then, what they had was nothing fall short of what lies between normal. Still, wrapping her little head on the fact that she's back here to where she's back in willingly allowing someone to possibly break her heart but praying they wouldn't, she would be lying if she wasn't a little bit terrified.]
Lauren: So how about those nudes you promises earlier. In all seriousness, you have no idea how badly I want to see you right now. How long 'till I get to see you again?

[Subconsciously Camila chews on her bottom lip at the thought of Lauren with her ex-girlfriend, for a moment she's caught up in her own world, zoning back into Lauren's voice just as she finishes her sentence.]
Camila: I trust you Lauren, and I trust your decisions. It's gotten us this far. We both know that this is going to be hard -- distance between us has always been hard, but we have something worth fighting for.
[Camila's lets the line fall silent just long enough for her to eventually crack a smile at the sound of Lauren's laugh. She misses her in every aspect.]
Camila: I asked you. After all, aren't you the one who always says you make the decisions?
[Sarcasm, as most times, is present in her tone.]
Camila: Yeah babe?
[ Corners of lips tug into a smile that her face starts to numb unable to control the unexplained happiness she's currently feeling. Being this happy almost scared her because it was so unusual before she met Camila. The teasing falls naturally between them as she tugs her bottom lip, delaying a proper answer.]
Lauren: I did, but I wouldn't want you to think I'm easy for anything.
[ Emerald hues squints as she brushes her nose against her fingers, trying to stop the blush that was slowly creeping its way to her face even though no one was around to see it. She takes a deep breathe and pauses, longer than necessary and let's the line fall silent for a few seconds or so before she clears her throat.]
Lauren: I've been thinking about this recently.... We had our struggles but lately I feel like we're in such a good place at where we're at right now.
[ Another pause was being dragged and Lauren had to press her lips together to stop herself from smiling.]
Lauren: I think our foundation...though it was a little rough at first is stable enough...now. I wasn't always the biggest fans in making commitments but everything else going on, I feel like it's time.
[ Words were said softly, but a serious tone carried to it. A much needed break was made to take a deep breathe, before releasing it slowly, making a dainty hum sound.]
Lauren: Will you..Will you...be my date for AMA?

[There was something bout Lauren's reaction that calmed Camila, often dauntless, her words left her mouth with ease. She has felt this way for awhile now, her feelings for Lauren concealed in more ways than one, the weight on her shoulders was lifted, she was finally free.]
Camila: I've meant every word I've ever said to you. I fell for you the first night we met and a little more each time after that. Every time I look into your eyes, each time I'd see you after weeks of being away, how much I miss you right now. I don't need any more confirmation than that.
[Her tone reflects a mixture of enthusiasm and solicitude, Camila would kill for her fingertips to feel her skin, for her lips to express the feeling she couldn't possibly transcribe into words.]
Camila: I know, and I'm sorry for getting mad over her. I just hate the thought of someone else having you the way I do, especially when I can't be there to remind you that you're mine. I didn't mean to make you cry, even if they're happy tears
[Camila bites her tongue to silence herself for a moment, this was her reality even when it all felt like a dream. She cocks an eyebrow at her thought before saying it aloud.]
Camila: Does this make me your girlfriend?
[The smile on Lauren's face was close to being permanent her face starting to hurt by how much she was smiling but she didn't care. She was happy which was rare that's why she's willing to grab every inch of happiness given to her. Tempted to scream on top of her lungs how much her now lover meant to her, she composes herself with little dances of victory, joy and gleefulness, she couldn't contain how thrilled she was.]
Lauren: Who knew you were such romantic. I'm not exactly certain when I fell for you but what I'm sure is that my feelings for you are not going away soon. I just wish there was a better way I could have showed you how I felt and feel right now.
[ A sigh that carried a bit of sadness was released as she emerald eyes disappeared. With fame, popularity came with a prize of having their sense of normalcy being taken away. Lauren would pay to have a little bit of normal, just for today. ]
Lauren: You weren't entirely wrong. I had a feeling she was using us again - like she always had. Keana had always been.... a safety blanket of some sort. She had always been the made reason why the relationships after her never quiet worked.
[ Laying it all out, she bit the insides of her cheeks at the new information not a lot knew about. Her relationship with Keana has always been a factor, since they were labeled the IT couple, it soon became part of her career - publicity wise.]
Lauren: But for what its worth, she had never come close to making me feel things you have.
[ Genuine and honest she added, in a softer tone. A smirk gradually morphs at the idea of Camila being her girlfriend. The idea alone made her heart flip.]
Lauren: I don't know..does it?
[Exhaling a laugh, she teases, her nose scrunching lightly as she felt her cheeks heat up]
Lauren: Camila?

[Camila nearly rolls her eyes at her response, her eyebrows narrowing in attempt to take Lauren seriously, but instead she can't help but laugh. Her grin lasting way too long, Camila could feel the heat building at her cheekbones, the first time she'd felt euphoric in a long time, somehow the feeling always lead back to Lauren. "Right. Well then I can't wait to be your date," The brunette's tone matched Lauren's, eyes darting from the rim of the champagne glass to the emerald pair across from her. "And see my name plastered everywhere for the very first time." The reality of the situation settles in and leaves butterflies in the pit of her stomach, she'd imagine being with Lauren one too many times and suddenly she was agreeing to their first public appearance. What would usually leave her crippled with anxiety under her exterior left her eager for what was to come. Hanging onto every syllable that left Lauren's mouth, Camila once again tries her hardest to mask the smile that takes over her features to no avail, her upper body leaning toward the center of the table in attempt to get closer to the Latina. "Those people were really missing out." Camila's lips purse amidst her sentence, struggling to piece together how her past lovers hadn't fallen completely head over heels at just a glimpse of Lauren like she had. "You deserve someone who shows you off and isn't with you just for the publicity it'll bring them." Camila's nervously choosing her words around past relationships on both their ends. "Someone who loves everything about you. Something genuine." She ends with subtle shrug of her shoulders, endeavoring the chance at getting to call Lauren hers.]
[ Music to Lauren's ear is what she would consider Camila's laughter to be, something she wished she could hear forever and a lifetime if possible. A light scoff left Lauren's lips as she empties her glass, taking a first bite of their delicious gourmet meal, she takes a few seconds to capture the picture in front of her and all she could describe to is was; beauty. "I don't think you need me for that. Isn't your name plastered all over the billboards already? That picture of you in New York was smoking though it was hard watching hundred thousand other people drool over my girl clad in nothing but a pair of sexy Calvin underwear." The memory makes her remember what jealously feels like, possessiveness is something she never once had to act on since famous as she was she could get her hands on anything she wanted but to be put into a position she had no control of was something she had yet to get used to. And if you knew Lauren, that alone was a struggle. "Who would want to date a worn out indie singer who no one really cares about beside her boobs." A sad smile falls upon her features as the reality of who she was dwells. Her relationship mostly, were nothing more than a PR stunt and everyone else seemed to be enjoying them, all except her. Her relationship only seemed real when cameras were around and the whole world envied every person she dated because headlines created a picture as though they were written out of fairytale but as soon as the lights were out, what everyone thought was pure love was nothing but a pure act. Her heart melts from the other girls' words as she reaches over, taking her hand, lacing their fingers together before she brings her lips to kiss the top of Camila's hand, a smile resurfaces. "I think I already have." She pauses, composing herself. " I don't want to play games anymore, Camila. I want the real deal. I want you."]

[Occasionally Camila found bliss in solitude, an empty hotel room giving her the freedom to say, and do, whatever she pleased. Her voice held no restrains in spite of the pout rested on her lips, if Lauren wanted a list of reasons, Camila would happily oblige.]
Camila: I'm pretty sure I've given you a reason to stay every single time my lips have been against your skin and yet you never have
[She listens carefully, Lauren's words sounding like art. She's always admired her articulated thoughts, convinced she'd gotten lucky falling for someone with her amount of passion, a writer.]
Camila: Lauren Jauregui, I'm hopelessly in love with you
[She admits, carelessly.]
Camila: You'd pass if I was able to kiss you right now. But since you're a thousand miles away, and I can't, you get a free pass
[Corner of her lips curve upward and for a moment, the world ceased. Those words were thrown thoughtlessly to her many times but this was actually the first time that it meant something to the hopeless romantic singer. Droplets of tears started escaping from virescent hues that she didn't bother to wipe off. It was one thing to read it from a text, it was an unworldly feeling hearing Camila actually state those words.]
Lauren: R-Really? Do you.. Do you really mean that?
[ A lightness sparks in her chest as she questions shyly, her voice close to a whisper as her lips trembles. She waits for a few seconds for a response but couldn't stop the huge smile from creeping in her face. Camila was hopelessly in love with her and she felt the same way]
Lauren: I love you too - like a lot. GOD, I freaking love you, Camila Cabello. You have no idea how much or how long I've been wanting to say that.
[Her head shaking as she laughs at herself. It was so unlike her to be so uncanny but somehow Camila always brings this side of her]
Lauren: If you tell anyone I cried when I told you I love you, I'm gonna deny it. What we had with Keana was nothing compared to what I have with you that's why you have nothing to be jealous about. What we have is special, you're special Camila.

[The long distance game was one she played well, and when it came to Lauren, she knew how to play her cards right. The pet name rolled off her tongue like silk and she had high hopes it wouldn't leave her unfazed.]
Camila: I didn't call to sing to you, I called to hear how much you've missed me and how badly you want me there right now
Lauren: Give me a reason to stay then
[ A smirk falls on her lips, her tone light, playful yet longing. The stick between her fingers is now trapped between her lips, husky voice slightly muffled due to the action.]
Lauren: Of course I miss you. One minute you were here and now you're gone. I miss you when I laugh or something really good happens, because you're the one I want to share it with. I miss you when something is bothering me, because you're the one who understands me so well. I miss you all the time, but I miss you most when I lay awake at night and think of all the wonderful times we spent with each other; for those were some of the best times of my life.
[ She hopes those words were enough to match Camila's earlier admission. Tossing what was left of her stick, she flicks it off the street and watches it fall ungracefully. Gaining the courage to be more open, something they both clearly need, she exhales and wait for Camila to process everything she had said.]
Lauren: How was that? Did I pass?

[The sound of Lauren's voice soothes Camila in what she proclaims the second best way possible, fights normally leading to one girl between the other's thighs, she settles for the rasp that enthralls her. Tranquility on the line as Lauren's inhale can be heard, she pictures the times she'd end up shotgunning the smoke as she was pulled in for a kiss.]
Camila: That makes two of us
[Camila's hesitant to speak knowing what originally initiated the call, she doesn't want to take her words her back as much as she wishes she could save them. Tone in her voice softer than usual resulting from uncertainty.]
Camila: How many times are we going to say we miss each other before we stop leaving?
Lauren: [Emerald eyes look up, blinking a few times as she releases the thick cloud of smoke from her mouth leaving her a little light headed. A wave feeling emerges not one who was used to this intensity of being strongly attached to someone, she hesitates, ponders if she was willing to risk what could be the most painful heartbreak from the owner of the husky voice on the other line.] You don't know how many times I wish I could just stay with you and never leave [ A hand runs through her dark locks as she leans against the railing. If there is one thing she hated it was arguing with Camila especially when they were already hundred miles away. Grinning to herself, she tips her head to the side playfully letting the sound of Camila's voice flood her ears] Have I told you how much I love your voice? While we're at it, you should sing for me. As I recalled, you called me for a reason.

[Camila doesn't reply to the texts, instead, she waits a few minutes before giving into Lauren's request. Upon the dial tone ceasing, she speaks before Lauren greets her. ]
Camila: "Just because I called you doesn't mean I'm not still mad at you. I wanted to hear your voice."
Lauren: [Lauren patiently waits, and picks the phone up from the first ring, a chuckle leaving her lips at the first words she heard on the other end] I think I can deal with you being mad at me and missing me at the same time [A smile slowly grows as she makes her way outside into the balcony, balancing a phone in one ear as she lits a cigarette graciously with the other. A moment of silence passes as she takes a dramatic drag of her cigarette, letting out a sigh] I wish you were here...
