Waking to the sound of birds chirping in the distance, Eren risked a squinted glance towards the luminosity that shone in through the window resting beside him.. The blinds providing little to no cover for the brunette as the sunlight kindled his russet flesh - verdigris optics narrowed thinly into slits as he struggled to see passed the blinding light that obstructed his vision. A low groan building in the back of his throat as he moved to shield his eyes - his face burying thoroughly in the soft material of his feathered pillow. It was too early for this shit..
Risking a glance to his left, Eren allowed a single viridian hue to cast open.. His vision hazy due to the sleep that still lingered in his eyes.. A warm smile soon enveloping the brunettes cheeky features as he captured the raven in his sights. A familiar sensation of tranquility enshrouding the teen as he eased closer to the corporal - calloused fingertips skimming lightly over porcelain flesh..
In moments like these, Eren found the corporal to be rather beautiful.. His ebony hair left bedraggled and unkempt. His pallid vellum illuminated in the light of the sunrise that shone in through the window. A kind of softness and vulnerability cloaking his once so guarded features as an almost childish expression sweeped over the corporals face.. He was perfect, in every sense of the word..
Leaning forth, Eren placed a chaste kiss upon the raven's lips - his eyes closing in content. "I love you.." Eren breathed, careful not to stir his companion as he drew away. Rising from the bed not a moment later to stretch out his limbs. His naked frame now completely bare and deprived of any source of coverage as he rose up the mattress..
A muffled groan eliciting from the sanctum of the brunette's lips as he made his way into the bathroom. A low yawn building in the back of his throat as he reached for the shower dial, twisting it to maximum calidity before slipping passed the sliding-glass door. His forehead slumping carelessly against the shower tile as water pelted brutally against his fawned flesh. Allowing his thoughts to wander as the heat pricked mercilessly at his spine - the vellum there shifting a deep crimson..

L looks down at himself briefly, his index finger still raised to his lips. He’s got a baggy shirt, jeans, and tattered tennis shoes—and he barely weighs a pound.
He looks back at the boy, his expression unflinching.
"I never asked what secret you were hiding.” His voice is calm, L completely unaffected in direct contrast to his conversational partner’s almost terrible sweating. “You need not tell me what it is.
"Though as we speak my curiosity has raised by at least sixteen percent. That is your fault entirely."
Eren couldn't help but click his tongue on the roof of his mouth as the raven spoke, his words eliciting a kind of annoyance from the brunette. "Well, I was under the impression that you were, so.." The shifter crossed his arms stubbornly over his chest, viridian hues averting themselves at the others words. "Even if you didn't ask, I know you're going to want to find out eventually.. It's only a matter of time." As the raven spoke once more, a slender brow tipped up in wonder. Sixteen percent? What the hell was this guy going on about? "Riiight. Sixteen percent.. Okay listen, I'm not trying to be rude or anything. But you're really weird.. Like, really fuckin' weird."

Mikasa froze when he moved closer, the feel of his fingers on her skin. She was hyper aware of everywhere of where that they touched, her breath catching in her throat. He was teasing her, wasn’t he. Eren had to know the affect that he was having on her, though she didn’t dare to move. Surely, he could hear the beating of her heart- beating at a speed that surely wasn’t healthy.
Eren couldn't help but chuckle lightly at the way Mikasa locked in place as he closed in on the space between them. Strangely, finding it all too adorable coming from the ravenette. "Mikasa.." Eren breathed out, and before he knew it, their lips had joined together in union - pink dusting over the flesh of his cheeks in the process. It was difficult to process, but here he was.. Kissing Mikasa, his closest friend since childhood, and he didn't even care..
Eren didn’t say anything, much to her concern. It seemed he always had an opinion on something, no matter how trivial the matter actually was. “Eren…?” She questioned, her voice soft as she pulled her forehead away to look at him. Her stormy eyes met his own, and she was reminded once more that how amazing they really were. The color she imagined the sea to be when Armin used to read from that old book he carried around.
Eren couldn't bring himself to say a single word as he gazed upon the ravenette - his gaze fixed solely on the softness of the others lips.. Not realizing just how close he was, Eren closed in on the space left between them. Viridian optics narrowing just slightly as he eased in - heartbeat thrumming at a near impossible speed as he felt the warmth of the others breath fan over his face - calloused fingertips ghosting over the flesh of the others cheekbone.
Mikasa could feel her palms sweating, and she couldn’t help but wonder if it was because of the heat or if she was just nervous. Probably nervous- it was freezing. Kicking her legs out, her feet hit his ankles, and she felt her face flush but she kept her feet there.
"Are you alright…?" Mikasa asked, looking up at him. He seemed a bit frenzied, if she was honest. Leaning forward, she pressed her forehead to his. "…No fever, that’s good." She murmured, more to herself than to him. At least that worry could be put to rest.
Eren's body immediately locked in place as Mikasa stretched her legs out - her feet skimming over the bone of his ankles and catching him by surprise. It didn't take too long for him to relax however - just slightly - as the raven pressed her forehead against his own. Her worry for him falling upon deaf ears as his heartbeat drowned out the silence surrounding them - making it impossible for him to decipher just what it was she was asking. Viridian optics fixed on the ravenette's features, taking everything in. So beautiful..
"I wouldn’t have it any other way." Mikasa told him, his laugh sending her heart racing. He had grown so much in different ways, it was incredible for her to see the differences now as she lay beside him. It took her a moment for her to register what he said, more heat rushing to her face at the compliment.
"A-ah, thank you, Eren…" She said softly, pulling the scarf up to partially obscure her face. "You look nice too." Mikasa mumbled, eyes meeting his briefly.
"N-No problem it was my pleasure.." Eren breathed, his throat constricting even further as he studied Mikasa's features. How had he not realized it before now? Just how beautiful Mikasa was.. Sure they had always been close, but never like this.. Not in this way. Eren scratched nervously at the back of his neck, his heartbeat drumming wildly in his eardrums as he fought to control his breathing. What the hell was wrong with him? Why the fuck was he so nervous?
"Eren… You’re still stubborn…" She pointed out, raising an eyebrow. Her face threatened to give way into that of a bigger smile, if it weren’t for how aware she was of their situation. Bodies almost touching, both of them surely blushing… Mikasa wasn’t about to complain though.
It was nice, being this close to Eren. She reached out, adjusting the scarf around his neck, fingertips brushing warm skin. Swallowing, she averted her eyes.
"Yeah, that may be true.. But what can I do about it? It's just who I am." Eren chuckled throatily, goosebumps rising as the raven's fingertips skimmed over the flesh of his neck. Provoking a rather unexpected shiver to roll up the brunettes spine. His own chartreuse optics shifting elsewhere as Mikasa averted her gaze. "Y-You know, yo-you're really pretty when you blush.." Eren commented, his cheeks heating up even further as he spoke - his heartbeat spiking with each tick of the clock.
Mikasa was perceptive, noticing the blush on the boy’s face. His reaction immediately elicited her own face to heat up, much to her chagrin. “A little?” She hummed, smiling softly.
”Your mother was always scolding you for it.” She remembered, laughing quietly more to herself. Mikasa brushed some of the hair from his face, her features softening under the cover of darkness.
"Okay, so maybe a lot. Sue me." Eren breathed out, laughing just slightly as Mikasa brought herself to speak - his cheeks becoming hotter as the seconds ticked by. The proximity and the sheer closeness of their bodies something extremely foreign to the brunette. "I'm not gonna lie, I know very well that I deserved every bit of it. I was such a stubborn child after all.."
Mikasa almost flinched at the mention of his mother, knowing it pained him to remember her. Their last moments together weren’t entirely positive. “I ended up doing half of your chores anyway… Lazy.” She teased, her voice hiding a smile.
Noticing him play with her scarf, she took it and loosened it from around her neck so that she could wrap it around him as well. Mikasa hummed in content after she finished, offering him a small smile.
Eren couldn't help but laugh at Mikasa's words - knowing all too well just how true they were. "I guess I was a little lazy.." He chided softly, smiling wide as the ravenette wrapped the scarf around his frame - blush immediately moving to color the tips of his ears as he was drawn in closer.
"It saved us, I don’t regret it." Mikasa closed her eyes. "If I hadn’t…" She trailed off, not even bothering to finish her sentence. They both knew what would have happened. Pulling away from his shirt, she looked up at him to meet his eyes. "What were you dreaming about, Eren?" Her hands moved around to his back, pulling herself closer once more. The covers rustled, and she paused- but it was nothing that would wake the others. Rubbing small circles in his back, she did her best to be comforting without saying another word.
"It was um.." Eren paused momentarily, his throat constricting painfully at the memory. "It was about mom.." The brunette explained, taking a deep breath before bringing himself to continue. The mention of his mother a fairly touchy subject.. He let out a light laugh, a pained smile crossing his features as he lowered his gaze, his fingers toying idly with the fabrication of the others crimson scarf. "I was dreaming about how she would normally come to wake me up in the mornings - always making sure I got my share of chores done.."
