SAY IT AGAIN
donāt get me wrong, itās not that i donāt appreciate the LGBTQ community on tumblr, but I feel that (and please help me find these blogs if they exist) thereās a huge gap missing for blogs that rep. butch women/non-binary masculine of center trans people with their femme significant other, or perhaps even another butch or trans man or non-binary person. I mean, Iāve seen a few blogs dedicated to just the non-binary/genderqueer, but when you see all these lovey dovey pictures blogged and reblogged, itās mostly femme/femme, stem/femme, tomboy/femme, etc. you know what I mean, donāt pretend you donāt.Ā
Where are the hardcore (not talking porn) butch women? Where is the other true and very relevant representation of queer relationships as they are all over the real world?Ā Is it because itās not āaesthetically pleasing enoughā? Because if so, thatās seriously hypocritical of a website that supposedly prides itself on being open minded, all-inclusive blah blah blah. Being in this kind of relationship myself, I would like to see more of this so I can relate to it and feel warm and fuzzy inside. Not that I NEED that, but yeah, it would just be cool thatās all. Iām not trying to offend anyone (I am very aware the all these types of relationships exist), but take a good look at your dash and tell me Iām wrong.Ā
You have to dig real fuckinā deep to find old school butch, masculine women, non-binary trans, masculine of center genderqueer people. And, when you find them? They are usually exploiting or fetishized (just like most trans women are).Ā
Fix this problem.

If I ever see any of you in public, the code is āI like your shoelacesā

i putĀ āAll I Want for Christmas is Youā through a MIDI converter, and then back through an mp3 converter
the result is this garbage
Iām driving myself up the wall because I swear I can hear the vocal line but I donāt know how that could be if it was truly converted to MIDI. Unless you can replicate speech sounds entirely with modulated MIDI notes, in which case Iām actually impressed with this tire fire of an MP3.

Natural hair tip wave šš¾āØ
Can we leave tips for natural hair? Reblog with a tip and help others!
Never detangle when is dry and always us a wide tooth comb. Always treat your hair as if it was your baby.
Cantu shea butter is a great leave in conditioner šš¾
Avocado oil is really good for finger detangling and moisturizing (not just your hair but scalp too) it absorbs easily, itās not as clogging as coconut oil, and it doesnāt leave a smell.
hot oil treatments!! never dry hair with a towel (use a soft t-shirt) and sleep on a silk pillow case or use a silk scarf and tie it on your pillow. cotton pillow cases absorb the natural oils in your hair and dries your hair out which can make it very frizzy. same with towels!
Yes! Hot oil treatments are amazing. Use Jamaican black castor oil for thin area šš¾
take out twists/braids/bantu knots outs when COMPLETELY dry for best results
if your twists take too long to dry:
1.Squeeze them gentle with a COTTON TSHIRT to soak up excess product
2.Instead of wearing a scarf go to sleep on a satin pillow to allow air flow to dry them faster.
1) Eco styler is the best gel to lay down edges 2) After taking out your protective style and while your washing your hair, you will notice A LOT of shedding, itās just the hair that wasnāt able to shed freely while you had in your protective styling 3) Eco Styler+Hard Brush+Bandana+Toothbrush= fleeky edges. 1) Take a good but not odee amount of gel and put on edges 2) Brush your edges a little back and curve them a little while brushing(you can use the toothbrush for the curving part) 3) Tie bandana around edges tightly(not too tight) and push the bandana back a little and take the toothbrush and take a little of the hair and brush them in the direction of your forehead or cheeks 4) Leave the bandana on for 30+ minutes 5) Take off bandana and touch up your edges with toothbrush (this is an option not mandatory) Stretching 4b/c hair(Still works for just 4b hair type) 1) Part hair into four sections 2) Spray Hair lightly and put in your usual leave in product (ex; sheamoisture, cantu ect.) 3) Take one of the four sectioned hair and put it in a scrunchy 4) Take the hair in the scrunchy and braid it 5) Repeat this for every section of hair 6) Let hair air dry for a little bit and then wrap hair 7) For extra stretching put hair in cornrows Use Aunt Jackieās āDonāt Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curling Gelā for good twist outs
Really donāt detangle your hair while dry. Donāt. And resist the random urges to trim your ends. Using coconut oil first and then sealing with shea moisture deep conditioner keeps my hair really soft. Donāt be afraid to use deep conditioners frequently or as leave in moisturizers. Be as gentle as possible when handling your curls. Wearing a satin scarf around your edge area for a while right before youāre ready to leave keeps them laid down. Donāt wash your hair with shampoo too frequently. (I have type 3c curls). If you hear ripping noises, stop lmao.
Shea moisture, cantu, creme of nature raw coconut oil works wonders for dry 4a curls šš¾
Applying your conditioner on your wet hair BEFORE detangling makes detangling so much easier. If you wash or cowash your hair in the shower and apply your conditioner in the shower, run cold water through your hair. Itāll seal all the product/moisture in your hair. Bantu Knot Tip: donāt attempt it on wet hair unless you have days to let it dry. Do it on lightly damp hair. The results turn out more defined and less puffy/frizzy (especially for 4a/4b hair like mine) Trimming ends on a regular basis/schedule is NOT necessary! Trim ONLY when you see split ends, damage, single strand knots, etc. And ALWAYS USE HAIR CUTTING SCISSORS ONLY!
If any naturalistas want to take a different approach on washing your hair with shampoo, and doesnāt feel all that clean with Co-washing; you can use BENTONITE CALCIUM CLAY. Itās a natural clay. Itās also conditions as well as cleanse the scalp and shafts. On top of that, it stimulates the scalp, so it may help with thinner areas. With time at least.. Iāve done it and once I find the time, Iāll do it on a regular basis. You can go on google and search where to buy. Another plus is that: originally itās a face mask and you can exfoliate your skin with it as well.
Had to re-reblog for that comment ^^ Bentonite clay saves my hair on the regular
go through the notes ladiesĀ
Yaaaasss! bentonite clay works wonders. And for those dealing with psoriasis/seborrhea dermatitis on the scalp it helps. As well as using ACV rinses and mixing honey and oils I to your deep conditioner. Honey, ACV &bentonite clay all work as either anti microbial sand to remove dirt.
Also, if youāre having a flare up DO NOT oil your scalp with heavy oils. Iāve found that it inxeases itching and makes flare ups so much worse (the flakes, the irritation will make you wanna rip your hair out). Iāve been playing around with a spritz that contains: rose water, jojoba oil, tea tree oil, and a drop of Jamaican black castor oil (mixed all this with water). Sprayed it on my scalp and hair and its help reduce gah flakiness and itchiness almost immediately. I use it everyday. Try to wash your hair regularly, and water washing can be beneficial (but Iāll do it like every other week between co-washes)
Iām currently trying to grow my edges back after a recent flare up of my dermatitis. Iāve been misting with my spritz and putting Jamaican black castor oil on my edges and Iāve seen progress and no irritation/flakes!
Also, have fun with your hair. Itās unique and special, and itās on your head so love it!
Thanks for this yall. I just cut off my locs and now I have 4c hair that I was never taught to manage. This is an awesome post.
