Hello and welcome to my unusual art blog, mostly going to be full of art from yours truly.

Who am I you ask?

I am just a humble little bird-dragon doing their crafts.

I go by Jay, and my pronouns can be any, most will just use feminine pronouns on me, but I enjoy being called they more.

If I am they then they are me.

Anyways, I have socials around the place under the same name, don’t usually post anywhere else as most other places I just don’t like.

I’m still really bad at keeping up with anything online, just call me a grandma cuz I be OLLLDDD FASHONED!

The way adult fandom people hold indie online creators and cartoons to a much higher standard than their actual local politicians. You could be putting that energy into terrorizing and protesting conservatives at your town hall and actually make a good material impact on the world but instead you're background checking everything the trans woman who made the amazing digital circus has ever said

The point isn't "stop criticizing indie artists" or "defend your favorite show under this post". I don't even watch Digital Circus and no one is above criticism. Literally every indie show is getting torn to shreds on twitter right now and I'm not saying this to defend anyone I don't know. The point is "someone who actually has the power to kill us all and get away with it deserves way more ire and accountability than a cartoonist and I expect grown adults to understand this"

i have made a fat ass dragon by hand and scratch. and i love it :3

also couldnt wait to finalize some patterns so i decided to make it instead lol

ive been working on something for a long time. and the idea itself hasnt come to fruition, but with a little bit of crafting i sure as hell got close!

the idea: a bell that looks like a leaf so i can sew it to my witch hat points.

havnt gotten a leaf shape at all but!! i did wonder if i could do it with flowers. so i stole my moms hole puncher(dont worry she never uses it anymore) and decided to hole puncher some monster cans.

ive been trying to figure our if wire, stretch cord, or fishing line will work best for the most sound.

and so far what ive come up with is the metal wire with jump rings between layers to allow for a more thin profile rather than the glass beads i was using. and i would keep using them. but they wont rattle on a fixed wire. not to mention they wont fit lol.

hard to see in the photos but i promise the small one not connected to string has jump rings in it

now i know they arnt loud (i assume mostly cuz the plastic in the cans themselves) but im hoping to make some more bell-like sounding flowers down the road, but for now as an experiment this is what i have. and id imagine depending on the amount of flowers it could sound like a lot!!

I was very inspired to make another creature today… then there was a going away party at work i wasnt prepared for so ive been pretty zoned out since then :/

so i decided to finally try my hand at a wire tree. ive had the wire for years now. this is just the practice tree for the real one i wanted, and hopefully will be able to put on a beautiful rock i got specifically for it :3

A little tiny microscopic dragon, rotifers passing by.

I've spent a lot of time peering down a microscope in the last few years, enjoying taking inspiration from the real tiny organisms to make one of my own.

ive wanted to do something like this with stickie notes for awhile. and even if its basic i do want to redraw it digitally.

turns out the same people who made smencils when i was in grade school are still kicking! so i got a strawberry multicolored smen!

(because i have a grape smencil from first grade as a time capsule. as in i dont really use it. i just find it every once in awhile and smell it. and even tho the case is cracked. still smells the same all these years later :3)

I don’t normally post stuff like this, but i think it’s important. especially with the uncertainty in the world.

Go make art. Go make a meal for your family, go make up a game with your kids, go share anything you create, for it will always be appreciated even when you never receive compliments.

this is why im learning embroidery, this is especially why I need to finish my hoodie, and this is the reas i will continue to do art in the weirdest places.

I will continue to be myself, and share myself with others, to inspire as I feel like I cannot do much else to help.

I am always posting to share my art vs trying to do anything to gain money, its just not in my nature. I actively have to fight myself on prices constantly if i try to put a price on a work. that’s another reason I dont post much. But when I do post I make it something worth your attention, or for me to connect with more people.
