Hey! I'm Jaybird. I like to draw stuff. (Mostly MLP) Mod of many blogs, most notably Ask Grape Sherbet. :D

My dad is in the hospital yet again... :(

To make a long story short, for a year and a half, my aunt (original creator of Grape Sherbet), and I did this art subscription service service where she paid me $20 and I drew something. Every other month it was her requests and those other months I decided the art.

She abruptly ended it today and I'm bittersweet and a bit shocked by it. It sucks, but hey, it ran its course, even if it came to a sharp stop.

So my phone is currently:

-black LCD liquid leaking into the scrern internally

-restarting by itself most likely due to the black liquid

-randomly loosing 5G signal

Yeah, this is REAL fun. Can't wait to have to figure out how to get a replacement considering not a soul is able to help.

Update:

That trip has been delayed to August now because my mom won’t have any vacation time until August.

I was disappointed at first but I’m fine with it now. ^^

It's nuts how common it is to not allow children to be angry, even (especially) in households where adults are angry all the time. As a child I knew my own anger was unacceptable--not just expressing it outwardly but feeling it at all. So now as an adult my immediate reaction to my own anger is often to feel guilt instead of like. Noticing when someone is being rude or unfair or my boundaries are being violated or whatever. fucked up.

I was always accused of having an attitude problem when I was a kid.

AND my mom just wouldn’t stop reminding me.

Like 11 years ago, I sadly still have the memory of my mom calling me a bitch, probably because of the stupid attitude problem. I doubt she remembers, but I sadly still do… :(
