I think what I appreciated most about this scene is just how natural and realistic it felt. Quite often I noticed in queer cinema, books, television and etc when the creators are writing scenes such as this one, they are never able to truly capture the intimacy and intensity of that first sexual experience. They’ll often depict scenarios where the two characters immediately result to having graphic anal sex. Honestly that’s not usually what happens. Usually it’s just as what this scene depicted an exploration of each other bodies, passionate kissing and at most mutual masturbation. This scene is just so beautiful.
