Masterlist: Mayday

Here’s the final list for the fan works for the Mayday challenge.

Under the White Veil by Hedgebelle (Ahaanzel) [fic, 3357 words, no warnings apply] After that, his Bluebird was often a guest in the Outlaws’ Hideout, and Jason, holding him in his arms, dared to dream sometimes, of being called sir Todd again, maybe. Of enough coin to buy a courting gift and a good lord elsewhere who would vouch for him to the alpha of Bluebird’s household. He would indulge such wishful thinking, until inevitably yet another word of Sionis’ cruelty would come along with the cry for Red Hood’s help, and so the dreams had always remained just that. OR: Red Hood, the infamous Outlaw, is sentenced to die. But many things can happen on the way from the dungeons to the gallows.

Mayday, Mayday, We’re Goin’ Down by Elwon [fic, 6.8k words, chose not to warn] 5 Times Jason and Dick hallucinate each other in times of peril, and 1 time they don’t.

The Night Off by Nerd_by_Definition [fic, 8.5k words, no warnings apply] Dick watched the man in red disappear for a moment longer to avoid dealing with the children inside. It was likely to be his last moment of peace for the night and he needed to savor every second.

Mayday! by Volavi [fic, 850 words, no warnings apply] “Watchtower, come in. Watchtower!”The first thing Nightwing is aware of as he comes back to consciousness is Red Hood shouting in his face. “Oracle! Do you read me? Anybody?” The faceless red helmet dominates Dick’s vision, close enough to reach out and touch, but the mechanical voice sounds distant, as if coming through a wall.

Mayday!

“Watchtower, come in. Watchtower!”

The first thing Nightwing is aware of as he comes back to consciousness is Red Hood shouting in his face.

“Oracle! Do you read me? Anybody?” The faceless red helmet dominates Dick’s vision, close enough to reach out and touch, but the mechanical voice sounds distant, as if coming through a wall.

Dick is slumped against something hard, half-sitting. He blinks to clear his vision and is able to make out shipping crates, their candy-colored sides muted and shadowed in between the cones of illumination from the sparsely-placed lights. Dick and Jason shelter in one of the patches of darkness between the lights. Past Hood’s hovering body, Dick sees nothing besides the wall of stacked crates he’s leaning against, stretching out as far as he can see in either direction. Across from them, another row of shipping crates looms, just a few yards away. They seem to be alone. If there are any sounds of continued fighting, Dick can’t hear them through his seemingly cotton-stuffed ears.
