Flowers I created for Dionne and Chris’ stunning Palm Beach wedding. Dee went for green, lush and glossy fonds in paired back arrangements. we included crisp white blooms: magnolia and hydrangeas to highlight the elegant occasion.

Hydrangeas were cut from her back garden, a sentimental touch!

Carmen & Dan’s spectacular wedding at Lindesay House in Darling Point, October 2015.

This was my debut into wedding flowers, and I didn’t muck around. C&D celebrated their nuptials with a black tie event and 120 guests. Carmen wanted to achieve an elegant and natural look along the tables. We agreed that the arrangements should appear as if they had been gathered from the surrounding gardens. I spend a couple of days with the Bride in the lead up visiting the venue, to take a note on the textures and colour tones. I noticed that the grounds had a distinct “Australiana” feel- but it wasn’t overly native. More opulent with pinks and burgundy’s offset lush green and hints of yellow.

The bride’s bouquets were soft and pretty with long stems. The feature blooms were garden roses, ranunculus, stock, hydrangeas, wax flower, blushing bride and paper daises. All in season and perfect for a day wedding.

Mum and Dad celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday. Here’s the selection I picked up from Potts Point markets. rose, antique and cream David Austin roses, hyacinths and (wait for it...) white gerberas! They’re not so bad. Brightened up a sunny afternoon at Chiosco by Ormeggio. xo

Sunday afternoon fun. I’m stealing the communal flowers again! The flowers are the best I could get but they are accentuated when surrounded by different textured green foliage.

It was a very productive afternoon actually...now that I come to think of it! Made some homemade hummus as well. Crossing my fingers that just by making it i’ll be on my way to healthier living. :)
