hi my name is johnny and I need help because the woman who birthed me wont sign the form to let the state pay for what is essentially everything.

first things first my mother is not above fucking over my future to get what she wants out of me/the situation. she hates that im trans and i have more proof of her hate if need be but alot of it is Alot lol so please just request it personally if u want to see it.

and i went to my father hoping he would be willing to atleast talk to her and he had this shit to say:

i dont know how else to explain to him that the situation and the fact that my mother is wrong and i dont want to bc i know it would be a wasted effort. the man hasnt even been a constant in my life let alone my academic career.

here are the emails i received by the school bc they had to drop me since there was no financial aid info they could process (because of my mother lmao)

I had to quit w the therapist I’m seeing bc she doesnt want to pay and wont give me my goddamn life insurance info on top of this. I cannot let her have this too I fucking refuse.

I didnt even originally want to go to college and I was forced to but now that I do my mom has decided to do everything she can to stop me. 

all in all my mom has kicked me out and is threatening to throw my things out if I dont go get them out of her house. i was visiting a friend in nyc for the summer and because of her I have to use what money I have to go home and pay to have my stuff sent back upstate, take a bus back up and put them into storage. Luckily I’ll have a place to stay in a week or so because my friend Monique is coming back from out of the country soon and shes willing to let me crash with her while I’m sorting out all the bullshit that’s been happening.

heres what i owe for the year:

i only need help with half of that for this semester which is 11,801.

i know im asking for alot of help but ive seen so many lgbt be helped by other lgbt and so im begging for any kind of donation. im going to try to see what can be done about fafsa and getting my mother off it but right now im suck and in a bad place.

This was the final project for a contemporary illustration class and the first image I ever posted to my Patreon 

The Contemporary Illustration class revolved around learning and discussing how to incorporate symbolism and meaning in our art, while trying to find the balance between overly blatant and too obscure. Our professor emphasized the idea that the work produced in this class should make the audience stop and contemplate the piece. Essentially, we we’re trying to add layers of meaning in our art that was recognizable but not immediately overt. 

The problem I began to notice was that many of the examples we discussed and pieces created had cynical leanings. Nothing bores me more than the idea that dark and pessimistic themes are “deeper” than more positive ones.  So I decided to make the focus of my piece on hope. I felt a fairytale setting was not only appealing to me, but also faithful to my concept. Fairytales are often criticized as childish and unrealistic because they characteristically end with a happily ever after, and therefore can’t be as meaningful as the more “realistic stories”.

We also had to make the pieces personal in someway, because that allowed us to incorporate symbolism in a way that was readable to audience. The idea was if it was something you could relate to then chances are someone else would get it. So I decided to frame it around a roadblock I struggle with: my depression. Depression is also one of those things that’s often “mystified,” especially for artists, and sometimes its easy to fall into the trap that it makes us deeper, more interesting individuals. The truth is that its something that needs to be confronted and healed, even if that healing is continuous. So it once again goes back to my theme of smashing cynicism. And my belief that hope and goodness is a lot more meaningful in the end.

Very rarely am I happy with the art I create in my classes, but I am immensely satisfied without this came out. It continues to be a piece that is very near and dear to my heart.
