the machismo within the latino community truly makes my heart break. people try to deny it sm or brush it off but it’s so obvious in the way older generation women treat their daughters and granddaughters for the sake of pleasing the men of the family.

i truly wish they would realize how much their hurting them and pushing them away because at the end of the day latinas are usually the ones who keep our traditions and customs alive.
