James did a lecture at Calarts very recently, this is the animation he did for that lecture. The students were asked to submit a piece of dialogue for him to animate, the dialogue he chose is from Twin Peaks. As always, we enjoyed our time there. Thanks for a lovely evening. Enjoy!☕️💕

Here is the animation James made for a workshop he did for the Nemo Academy in Florence. We had a great time there with Genndy Tartakovsky and his lovely wife. Genndy did a great workshop on story. Everyone at the Nemoland event was so welcoming, what a wonderful experience.💕

I had to share this amazing cookie Megan Kreiner made for a holiday party James and I attended for the ‘Once Upon a Studio’ crew. For reference the cookie is 3.5” square. The detail is fantastic and it’s completely edible, drawing and all!

This is a beautiful pencil test by my friend Tina Nawrocki, you might know her from her work on the ‘Cuphead’ game. She is making a hand drawn animated short about a Polish mermaid called ‘Syrenka: Legend of the Warsaw Mermaid’. Hand drawn animation is very important to me - nothing else seems as magical as drawings that come to life!
