After a long summer of waiting, the patience of a legion of Run it UP warriors has finally been rewarded. Jason Somerville is back for season 2 of “Run it UP!” and is more dedicated than ever to whipping out his sheriff badge, putting people in cages, and humiliating anybody and everybody who dares wear the cat avatar. More than anything, he is committed to achieving his original quest: to take a humble $50 deposit and turn it into $10,000 on Ultimate Poker.
Jason picks up where he left off at the end of season 1: with a bankroll of $812.45. To kick off the second season, Jason bought into a $0.25/$0.50 cash game for 50 dollars. The Run it UP steamship sailed into some stormy seas early as Jason lost more than half his buy-in and was compelled to buy in for another 30 dollars.
However, the storms dissipated quickly when Jason was dealt pocket aces under the gun. Jason raised, “texascolonel” re-raised, and then Jason 4 bet to see a flop. With a flop of 6s-Kc-5s, Jason went all-in and “texascolonel” made the call. His pair of kings was just not good enough, and Jason doubled up to take the steamship to the land of profit. It was smooth sailing from there as Jason won a few more pots to bring his total stack to $104.52. That translates to $24.52 in profit, raising Jason’s bankroll to $836.97.
Stay tuned for the next episode of “Run it UP!” where Jason will continue this cash game session. If you want to see each episode of “Run it UP!” the very moment it goes online, be sure to subscribe to the Ultimate Poker YouTube channel, the exclusive home for season 2 of “Run it UP!”
