Business Plan Development
For the eleventh month of my master’s program I wanted to finally start the virtual outline for my businesses- Celestin’s Consulting Services and JC Shoe World- and determine how much it would cost to launch them. After talking to a couple of business owners and receiving constructive criticism from my mentors and professor, I decided to change the name of my company- Celestin’s Consulting Agency- to Celestin’s Consulting Services simply because I wanted to only provide a certain type of service to both individuals and companies. I did not want to include Agency in the company’s name and have people visiting the website assume that I was large corporate business with dozens of employees. I want people to truly know who I am, what experience I have, and how I can be of service to them. In addition, I want to start Celestin’s Consulting Services as a sole proprietorship and eventually turn it into a LLC.
During the first week of the class, I was able to determine the target market for both Celestin’s Consulting Services and JC’s Shoe World. For Celestin’s Consulting Services, my target market/audience is college students and businesses throughout the state of Florida that is looking to brand or revamp themselves professionally. And for JC’s Shoe World, my target market would be the everyday man and women that is looking for affordable sandals, oxfords, flats, tennis shoes, and/or heels for work or special occasions. As the class continued, I was able to further develop my business plan for both businesses and begin to obtain the proper paperwork. I recently passed my public notary class and submitted my application to become a public notary for the state of Florida. Once I am approved, I will be to purchase my notary supplies. In the end, I am apply ing what has been taught and applied in class to real life scenarios so that I am able to expand professionally, but also obtain mental and physical wealth.
