“I can’t say I do, I think we’ll probably just do a small Christmas with the two of us, maybe go see Ver’s Mum. I’m not sure yet.” He shrugged, just sort of going along with whatever his girlfriend wanted to do this year. “I’ve got her a few things but I’m not against getting her more and I’m definitely not against drinking more alcohol.”

“I mean I guess I’ll go for all of the above, because I can’t believe you haven’t decorated yet.” He tutted, “Is Kristoff that much of a bah humbug or have you both just been busy with my favourite God child. I imagine she has some high demands this year.” He couldn’t help but ask, knowing that he already had a stack of gifts for Marisol that Elena would probably complain about with how much he was spoiling her.

James couldn’t help the snort that left him at the others words, “I will pay you like, so much money to go and say that to my brothers face.” He told the other, “Because the reaction you’d get would make all my dreams come true, but I’m glad I’m known as the better Ashcroft among more then just Frank here.”

“Like you would ever worship me.” Reid said with an amused scoff at the thought. “If we’re looking at presents, you could throw a puppy my way.” Reid joked lightly, though thinking about it, was it really the worst thought? Probably not. It’d give him someone to come home to at least. “Neither of us were exactly exclusive.” Reid recalled with a fond smile. “I enjoyed it though.”

James looked at the other for a long moment, “You do remember our sex life, right? Seemed like there was a lot of worshiping back then if I recall the bruises I got on my knees from being on them for so long.” James rose an eyebrow at the others statement, “A puppy? You’ve never really mentioned getting a pet before because it was something to tie you down to one place.” He pointed out. “Clearly you must be here for the long haul.” James let out a small huffed laugh and shook his head, “You’re right, we weren’t and so did I- weirdly I think it made us closer friends.”

“Ah of course– my other one,” Verity chuckled, playfully bumping her hip against his. “Being a bitch is one of the side effects of a hangover. Like I totally get it, but it does suck to deal with. I say that because I can also be a nightmare,” she replied, not wanting James to think she was against him specifically in some way. “No, not really. Although Angela Lansbury’s voice coming out of this body… interesting concept,” she joked after sliding her hands down her torso seductively before dropping them to her sides again to laugh. “For Rowena’s sake, James– you do realize I was only joking right?”

“You’re up to five now, right? It’s easy enough to lose track of us all.” James continued to tease, “I’m your favourite though, aren’t I?” He smirked, leaning into the other and bumping his shoulder with her own in retaliation to her hip bump. “Maybe I’m in a constant state of hungover then, interesting.” He mused for a second, “Oh you’re the worst when you’re hungover, truly. I’m surprised I haven’t just left before you woke up and return back in the dead of night yet so I don’t have to deal with your ass all day.” He joked, because in reality he liked caring for the other when she was under the weather, it was nice to show her how much he loved her even when she was ill, hangover included. At the mention of Angela Lansbury’s voice coming from her body, he couldn't help but take a small step back, letting his eyes check her over, squinting a little as he thought. “A very interesting concept, one that has left me very confused and a little turned on.” James rolled his eyes at the other and turned to face her with an expression on his face to say if she was for real, “Of course I know you were joking, if you hadn’t found good enough qualities in me you would have dumped me long before now. I know I’m hot, but hotness doesn’t make a three year relationship.”

“You say that like my plans weren’t to worship you on your birthday, maybe that was going to be my gift to you and now you’ve just ruined your own surprised.” James tutted, shaking his head in the others direction. “Looks like I’ll have to get you something else instead.” James couldn’t help but smirk at the others words, “Pretty sure you were just being a big baby, as for your love life, I’m very aware that I was not the only one you were sleeping with back then. Don’t worry, I’m not getting a complex in thinking I was special or anything.”

“I don’t know what rule book you’re looking at but I think you need to throw it out, today should be the day you worship me, not embarrass me.” James pointed out to the other before rolling his eyes at his dramatics. “Oh come on it wasn’t even that hot, you’re exaggerating way too much and given you were taking me to bed for a good part of that time you didn’t have to explain anything.”

“That’d be totally unlike you, you’re so right,” she played along with an unconvinced laugh. “I mean you are allowed to get stupidly drunk, you know I’d never take your rights away from you like that,” Verity stated with her hands raised slightly in defense. “I’m just trying to protect you from the aftermath– make it easier on you for the morning after,” she justified with another brief chuckle. “I’m glad to hear that. Although I don’t think I’d find it just as hot if you went around calling me ‘Potts’, doesn’t quite have the same ring to it,” she remarked after thinking on it for a moment. “Pizza? Solid choice! You’ve got taste. Makes sense why I’d date you– I value people with good taste,” Verity smirked before directing them towards a place that’d have some delicious pizza.

“I’m always sober and well composed, you must be thinking about your other boyfriend.” James continued to play along with the other, letting out a hum when she reminded him of the repercussions of his drinking. “I do hate being hungover and I have a feeling you hate me being hungover too because I turn into more of a little bitch then usual.” James grimaced at the others words, “Yeah, the only image I get from that is Mrs Potts and she’s really not sexy.” James let out a snorted laugh, “Glad it’s only taken you what, 3 years? To figure out why it is you date me. Took you long enough.”

He cleared his throat, slightly surprised James had an actual plan. Well then, who was he to disapprove then it all sounded… not bad. “Since you’ve got it figured out, then go ahead,” he shrugged. “And obviously I’m getting a family discount,” he added, smirking briefly.

James continued to sit there in surprise, moving his feet from the others desk back to the floor, staring at his brother as though he was about to find a catch. “I’ll think about it.” He chuckled, already knowing that he would allow his brother to drink for free. “Though now that I’m leaving, will you finally tell me why you hated me being an Auror so much? Is this one secret you can finally share with me?”

Will sat a bit straighter when he heard James’ plan. “Well, at least you’ll be doing something you like,” he commented. “Are you aware of how much you need to invest though? Have you been to the bank?” Ha raised an eyebrow questioningly. 

When the others posture changed he expected some sort of backlash, but when that didn’t come he felt a little bit loss for words from the surprise of not having his brother telling him he’s making a mistake. “I-... urgh, yeah. I’ve got help from people who are willing to invest in me, I went to the bank with a business plan and they agreed to it.” James blinked. “I’ve actually had all of this planned for years, it was what I was planning to do before I became an Auror. Before you, well... left.”
