“I’m unserious about a lot of things, Luce,” he admitted with a smirk, head tipping just slightly, “but ice cream? Ice cream is not one of them.”
Her hesitation only made his grin widen. “Don’t worry about it. Anything you don’t eat, I’ll happily manage. I’m basically a never-ending pit when it comes to the stuff. Honestly, I should’ve been sponsored by a gelato shop by now.”
“You’re getting yourself into an experience,” he went on, leaning a little closer as if letting her in on a secret. “And those are the best kinds of things to have, if you ask me. You get to look back and say you did it. Tick it off your bucket list.”
"Who would've known that the way to get you to be serious about a topic is to make it about ice cream," Lucy shook her head with a laugh. When he assured her that he'd be able to finish off anything she didn't, she couldn't help but quirk a brow of surprise, "Is that so? Well if you're such an endless ice cream pit then pray tell, why haven't you done this before?" she was inclined to ask out of curiosity. "Or are you secretly a reigning champion?"
Lucy smiled when he began to entice her to the idea by selling it as an experience. He was having fun with it and seemed to enjoy bringing her in on it. "You should consider motivational speaking because you do a great job of convincing people of things," she remarked. "Let's do it. I didn't even think it'd be something to put on my list but it feels like it'll just be such a fun thing to do. Not to mention it'll make for a great story if we manage to finish it."
