While on break from being on the road for work, I squeezed in this easy read. Transformers/Drift: Empire of Stone. Shane McCarthy returns to IDW and brings us another tale involving a fan favorite character and what he has been up to since being exiled from the Lost Light. Ratchet also stars in this, which is perfect because these 2 are total opposites, so their bantering back and forth is perfect. Guido Guidi's art is amazing as always; looks similar to what he did in Regeneration One. Shane's writing... well, it can go either way. You either like it, or you really DON'T. I questioned where he was going with his story, and I was actually satisfied with the ending. This was a much better story than the first Drift mini series. I'll give it a 3.5 out of 5, definitely worth the read if you are a Drift fan.

In 2016, the greatest graphic novel I have ever read is coming to life. AMC will bring us Preacher, and I for one am excited. I have no expectations for this show whatsoever. I am accepting of changing storyline and adding characters for television; I get it and why they do it. As long as they stick to the main plot points, I will be just fine with that.

Before I moved down to TN, my best friend said he had a painting to give me as a house warming gift. He looked confused when my mouth dropped to the floor in awe over the painting. I said, ‘Don’t you know what this is???… oh. You never finished reading Preacher!’ This is 'Christina’s World’ by Andrew Wyeth, and plays a part in the infamous graphic novels of Preacher. It is also one of my favorite paintings. Just finished The Day of the Doctor, as part of my binge watching Doctor Who this week. 3rd time seeing it also; first time being when it premiered, 2nd time earlier this year. I must admit, trying to finish up the Smith Era and watch Capaldi's Doctor all before the premiere of Series 9 this Saturday is quite a challenge, and I may not be able to pull it off due to work and the amount of other stuff I would like to get done. Sometimes being an adult is just no fun. Anyways, I have always been fascinated with the idea of the Doctor running into his other selves. The Two Doctors, The Three Doctors, and my personal favorite, The Five Doctors; all from Classic Who, all worth watching. Glad they decided to do this with the new Era of Who, and who better to use than 2 of the Doctors who helped push Who into the mainstream. I enjoyed the story, all the cameos, all the Easter eggs (that I could find). Love that Rose came back, sort of came back, that is. Daleks, Zygons, you can't go wrong there. Overall, enjoyable for any Who fan if you haven't seen it yet...
