::Clearing::

I am not through the thicket

And into the brush --

A clearing ahead

Makes me reminisce

Of the last time I was there.

Everything can be pushed aside until it can't;

Thorns as a defense mechanism,

They're a reminder, too.

A rose has thorns, and is yet beautiful, blooms.

A little experiment here; I don't have my bigger notebook, so I have been filling pages in my small notebook. The constraint of having a small slate helps me focus, like a haiku.

I was meditating on the concept of how I had become my mental illness. Instead of being JD, I became a Bipolar Person. That was all. You are not your thorns, as much as the thrash about you.
