Why did you go for the social media fellowship? I saw it as an opportunity to learn and network with amazing individuals who share the same passion I have for life, and for culture.
How did you feel when you got the call that you’d been awarded the fellowship? I felt this amazing rush of energy through my body. It’s really HRD to CVR in words, but it gave me life.
What does HRDCVR mean to you? HRDCVR is a combination of creativity, determination, and hard work plus the joy and excitement of seeing an idea come to fruition. All I really want to do in my life is make dope ish with amazing people—that’s what gives me satisfaction, and HRDCVR is easily one of coolest things I’ve been apart of so far.
How do you like your fellowship so far? I’ve enjoyed it—I love the challenges it brings. This is something that’s never been done before, so it’s forcing me to elevate my thinking, and to conceptualize a social campaign as epic as the product we’ll be delivering.
Creativity is: the closest thing we have to being God-like.
What advice do you have for other fellowship candidates? Be confident in your ability, and be ready to learn. God delivers us opportunities for a reason. We’re blessed, so take advantage and do your best.
HRDCVR is currently choosing from 70 applicants a Writing & Research Fellow. We will announce the winner on August 15.
With the help of our creative director Claudia de Almeida, we will announce the application process for the HRDCVR Design Fellowship next week, as well as the application process for the HRDCVR Content Leadership Fellowship.
Thanks to our 516 HRDCVR backers, each HRDCVR Fellowship includes a stipend of $1000.
