Recently, I innocently visited these seals taking refuge on the beach when I was in San Diego. Yesterday, I signed a petition on Change.org to ask the city to install permanent sinage because beach-goers like myself (at the time) are unaware of the disturbance we cause these seals. They endure disturbance from people touching them, not viewing them from a distance, blocking them from the ocean/from other seals, and cameras in their faces. I did keep a little bit of a distance because I was a little scared, but had I known these baby seals' lives are put in danger when too close I would have been a lot more cautious for their sake. #SDwithBri #sealbeach #changedotorg #signthepetition #LaJolla #sandiego (at La Jolla Cove)
