Yo, welcome to my tumblr. My name (online) is Ever, I use she/her pronouns, and I am in my early 30s. I have anxiety, depression, ADHD, and chronic existential dread about everything, so you can imagine how much fun I am having (probably as much as you, let's be honest).

Since late 2025 I've been watching a lot of classic westerns including Bonanza, Rawhide, and a little bit of The Big Valley. I've also been binging as many Clint Eastwood movies as I can get my hands on, and since I have access to my local library, various thrift stores in town, and a Half-Priced Books, I can get my hands on quite a few.

I am a huge advocate of both fanfiction and traditional literature, including fiction and non-fiction. In 2025 I read 56 books, and 2026 I haven't been reading books as much, but I've written over 100,000 words of fanfic (mostly currently locked in unpublished WIPs), so I am letting myself off the hook for my reading slump.

Other fandoms I am either currently active in or have been active in include OG Avengers (pre-Civil War) including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Phil Coulson is a BAMF and no one can convince me otherwise), Leverage, Merlin (they queercoded, folks, not queerbaited), and The Murderbot Dairies (not the tv show, do not get me started [unless you want to, then absolutely get me started]).

Offline, I am a political activist. I volunteer with my local League of Women Voters and am currently serving a two-year term as President of my local league (yes, I am one of the youngest members by at least three decades, why do you ask?). I am rabidly anti-partisan in that I do not affiliate with either political party, and instead am interested in a) local politics in my county and the cities within it and b) issues I care about gaining traction and I don't care who is pushing them forward as long as they are moving. Note: the link above goes to the National LWV website because I'm not about to put where I live on my tumblr blog (remember when we were told NOT to put our personal info on the internet? Well, I do!)

That said, I am very aware that the GOP is blatantly fascist and being anti-fascist is not partisan, fighting for all citizens to have easy access to the ballot box is not partisan. I am also very aware that the the majority of the Democratic Party is at the very least enabling fascism and actively benefits from a political system directly controlled by corporations and capitalistic interests.

Even though I am politically progressive as fuck, I am not interested in progressive purity tests, and tend to operate within a "big tent" point of view, knowing folks are coming from all backgrounds and experiences and are in different places on their social justice journeys. Some of us are just beginning anti-racism work, others of us have been working on it for awhile, and some of us might be better with anti-racism but still have some work with our anti-LGBTQ+ biases. Intersectionality is hard work, folks.

I am also a huge advocate for data privacy and am very anti-surveillance state. Trust me, reading the Hunger Games during our current fascist regime was a trip, let me tell you. I am working on de-googling myself. I am somewhere between having a phone running on Grapheme and using Ubuntu on my laptop while still having Microsoft on my desktop.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

I got my next haul of Clint Eastwood movies and uffda this batch was such a mix

Tightrope was nothing to write home about except this is the first movie I've seen where Eastwood's character is a half-way decent dad. Otherwise it was kinda boring and had like the most anti-climatic foot-chase scene I've ever seen. I don't now if it was the score or the length of the scene or what, but it was really weird to watch because chase scenes aren't supposed to be the slowest part of the movie, but here we are

I really hope The Gauntlet was fun to film because it was stupid. Not even the fun kind of stupid, just dumb. For the most part, I've been able to put my phone away as I watch all these movies but this one was rough. But hey, his partner sidekick who got shot wasn't a person of color this time...but there also were no characters of color soooo not sure which is better. Also, can we just stop hitting women kay thanks

Blood Work was okay, even though I knew Buddy was the bad guy from the first scene he was in. I thought the whole Noone ----> no 1 thing was a bit of a weird reveal but maybe that's because I have a good friend whose last name is Noone. I still don't understand about the Jasper thing tho, so maybe I'm dumb? Not sure. I did think the serial killer killing so Terry would live so he could continue taunting him was an interesting story line though

True Crime was probably my favorite out of the five because LisaGay Hamilton's acting was out of this fucking world oh my god the scene where they're trying to revive Frank and we zoom to her hand on the window is fucking gut-wrenching oh my god

I thought The Changling was a supernatural film because I don't tend to read anything about these movies before I watch them, so when I saw that it was based on a true story I was really confused. The movie was good, but I want to know so much more about the actual story of Walter Collins because the Wikipedia entry is not enough

I also have Invictus, American Sniper (yeahhh, we'll see with that one), and Hereafter, but I am going out of state next week so I might wait until I get home to tackle those ones.

Buy your videos games on actual disks (and fuck you, Sony) and whatever the fuck those little things Nintendo uses are called

Rip those fuckers onto your computer, add them to your personal Plex/Mega/what-have-you. Give them to your friends and let them rip them too. Check them out from your local library, rip them, and return them. Don't let them put art behind an increasingly unaffordable paywall.

Check out your local thrift stores, record stores, garage sales because physical media is still everywhere if you look because lots of people don't think it's important anymore but it is!

Buying used stuff also fights back against out-of-control consumerism and it's good for the planet.

I don't know about all of you, but I'm willing to have a conversation about paying people for their labor when the fucking corporations calm the fuck down but until then, I'm sailing the high seas and inviting anybody to join me.

And if I've still got you, cancel all those fucking streaming services too.

Seriously, I just brought home eight Clint Eastwood movies from Half-Price books for $16.
