I read a book about North Korean defectors. A segment covered a middle age woman who watched her entire family die of starvation in North Korea, and she still found the strength courage and will to escape, crossing a freezing river to China in the pitch black night. I think of her often. I think of her strength, I admire her courage.

Its never just one instance, its all the passive aggressive comments, micro expressions, exclusion tactics, and attempts to control your self expression with strategic validation. Please don't settle for friends like this.
