I got in a car accident today when my dad was driving us home from the con i was at. He was also dressed as hastune miku (vocaloid) and gritty (flyers mascot) the cop pulled us over and went "is that a hatsune miku cosplay?" and my dad had to explain his miku gritty fusion abomination. Then we had to explain Miku to the other guy who was in the accident.
It was miserable but we got chilis after. My dad's still wearing his miku tie in the chilis
IM WORKING ON A LITTLE PERSONAL PROJECT WHERE I MAKE STARDEW FACESETS FOR M9 i might make sprites too but i fear that would awaken the evil gamedev urge to make a mod (i know nothing about stardew's engine)
Sry for dying I got diagnosed with CVID and suddenly a lot of things in my life made sense. I've been dealing with a nasty black mold inner ear infection for half a year almost and I've been bedridden for a week and a half due to flu :( maybe ill post more of my silly thoughts on here. Had a dream that the current and former world leaders opened a maid cafe to achieve world peace and I got tickets and Joe Biden tried to serve me this thing called "The Gloop" which was like a greenish-gray putty and I didn't want it so they had to funnel it to my mouth via silly straw and when I ate it my vision froze and i woke up so I think it killed me

WAYS TO MAKE A PMD2 FANGAME/FAN SCENES WITH LITTLE/NO CODING EXPERIENCE
I normally see people recommend skytemple, but that never came easily to me as i'm not the most code-oriented person. So i'm opening the gates to something I find a lot easier personally!
PMD Origins.
PMDO is an open source fangame with a modding hub, and a ton of tutorials listed there! I used this to help me make what I have of the fangame. coding dialogue and cutscenes gets a little tedious, but there is an amazing code cheat sheet that you can edit + copy paste into your LUA editor to make it easier.
Of course this is a lot easier w some coding knowledge, but I could get a lot done by following the tutorials and only knowing a little bit of python + c#! Check the embedded links to find the sources I used.
You can use and edit sprites and facesets from the sprite repository, with proper credit ofc!

Q: what plot/vibes is it most similar to?
THIS IS A HARD ONE it's very much PMD in a PMD sense? a bit darker than the main series from the start because the future isn't the kindest place per-say. I try and keep the tone similar to the main series! I suppose it has a quite a bit of influence from an RPG called Oneshot.
Q: Summarize the main cast in 1-2 sentences!
MAIN CAST:
Human/Player: Awkward little human, overthinks EVERYTHING, tries to be supportive and help out. Can't really fight like Pokemon can, so they're just kinda moral/Task support.
Treeko: NEEDS TO SAVE THE WORLD THERES NO TIME TO STOP GUYS WE NEED TO SAVE THE WORLD. doesn't sleep much, rise and GRIND SO very motivated, lost pretty much everything and is determined to keep others from losing in the way he has.
Dusclops: Has a strong moral compass, but no one really knows where it's pointing. Cares for the cast, but is reluctant to get close to them.
LESSER KNOWN/non canon CAST:
Leafeon: Unwillingly put into a leader position that they aren't very capable of. Stoic and very determined, tries not to let their stress show.
Flygon: "ERM actually guys", scout!! One of the main researchers. Does a lot of field work + rescue missions and is one of the more self-motivated members of the team.
Shuppet: Therapist friend, keeping the team mentally sound mostly. Is younger than they let on. Goofy goober, best friends with hoppip
Hoppip: A BABY!!!!! They were born into the world and orphaned recently, very innocent, can do no wrong. Moral support. No sunlight, so they rely a lot on leafeon for survival.

I LOVE WRITING SHUPPET AND HOPPIP they're such a duo. I also love leafeon a lot, and ofc the human!!

How far back is your pre-eos game gonna be set? :]
It's set during the bad future™ and you play as the human/player/hero character during that time! It's a canon-adjacent story where you follow the adventures of yourself, a treeko, and the planetary investigation society as you research and try to find the cause of the planet's paralysis!
