This Birthday edit for Jeff from Jeffbeckette on Instagram just destroyed me.. oh my god it’s so good. I miss you Jeff. I’m in tears.
Happy Birthday
Geoffrey Arnold Beck!
Today Jeff would have turned 82 years old, “would have” is something I hate having to use, referring to Jeff in the past tense never ceases to be painfully miserable to me, despite having to do this since 2023, the feeling is all the same like a punch to the stomach, not only is it painful because physically he’s not here anymore but because it feels almost unjust, with Jeff’s impact on the guitar world, music, and the actual world, talking about how “he’s not here anymore” or “he’s gone” feels completely wrong. For my life at least, Jeff is extremely present, not a day does by where I’m not listening to something by Jeff or featuring Jeff , where I’m not thinking of him, or where I’m not arguing in his name anytime some sort of guitarist debate comes up. Since I’ve started this blog (I think like 2021? Or earlier) the occupation Jeff takes up in both my mind and heart hasn’t once shrunk or remained the same size when I first became a fan. Instead, it has grown everyday, the more you hear him and see footage of him play the more there is to learn, everything Jeff does is infinite, there are so many layers to his playing and with every interview new and old that is out you also get to learn about who Jeff was as a person. There has never been any pressure for me as a self proclaimed Jeff Beck super fan and running a blog literally named “jeffbeckblog” to remain biased to him and only him, I’ve been introduced to a plethora of music by guitar legends but naturally i come back to Jeff. Because there is no guitarist, however technical, that can channel their raw emotion into their playing the way Jeff does. No one else but Jeff has made their guitar an extension of their heart.
I Love you Jeff. Happy Birthday.
Jeff: *Breathes*
Jimmy: 😁😆😃😝🤭😆😆
“Why is the Jeff Beck fandom so small on social media” “no one ever posts about him”
Also me when any rock or 60s 70s account posts him.
How it feels posting on Jeff Beck Tumblr now that Jeff Beck passed away, El Becko stopped posting, and the only jeff Beck accounts on here are 1. El Beckos original account and 2. Some weird ronnie wood x Jeff Beck shipping account who’s last post was 14 years ago
BUT THATS NOT GONNA STOP ME FROM POSTING AND GETTING MY FREAK ON 🤪

7 years of bad luck… if you don’t like this.
Jeff Beck I loved your work in Horton Hears a Who😍

Oh you beautiful angel. I am so in love with you Becky.
I have a funny story to share that has never been published before in yardbirds/Jimmy page/ Jeff beck history.
Courtesy of my tour manager friend whose name will remain undisclosed.
During a very special yardbirds show, (date and venue I’ve forgotten) where neither Jimmy or Jeff were on stage playing guitar, Chris Dreja stepped in as the bands main guitarist (must have been lead), - why Jeff and Jimmy weren’t on stage I’m still unsure, I’ll have to ask for the story again!! -
during the show, hidden at the very back of the concert hall, well behind the crowd stands two gentlemen, both playing the air guitar along to Chris’s playing. Those two gentlemen were none other than Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page!
Imagine seeing that, going to watch the yardbirds and noticing the two guitarist are in the back of the crowd fucking around playing air guitar.
Okay on a lighter note, the only time I’ve ever gotten the ick from Jeff is when he goes in that high pitched voice “OH YES Ohhhhh oh oh oh” on the nazz are blue.
IT MAKES ME LAUGH EVERYTIME LIKE WHY IS HE HAVING AN ORGASM
Blk + white Jeff for the timeline. My beautiful baby boy.
I don’t want to post so negatively, because Jeff left us behind with so much beautiful music, and I’m so lucky to have been born in this lifetime where I am lucky enough to know about the genius that is Geoffrey Arnold Beck.
but I can’t bring myself to listen to him. I can’t stop sobbing everytime I try and play anything from him. It has been a few years now but I don’t think I can ever get over it.
I miss you Jeff. I miss you so much it hurts.
Throwback to when I was saving up to go see his tour in England, but never got the chance and funds too..
You’re always on my mind…
Still can’t believe you’re not here no more. My heart aches so much. I miss you Jeff.
I never got around to posting about this, mostly because it brings too much sadness to even think about, let alone write about.
But to the man that takes up a huge amount of space in my heart, who’s music I have been listening to for years, to the greatest guitarist ever, rest easy jeff.
Thank you for all the music.
No one played or ever will play the electric guitar quite like you 🩷
