This is a Jegulus hate page

I hate Jegulus with every bone in my body, Regulus is a wizard far right winger. I do NOT hate shippers of this ship just the ship itself or more accurately Regulus I hate Regulus. I condone no violence or targeting of any specific group political, sexual, or other I support no homophobia I support no Transphobia I support no racism I do not align with JKR or her views I just hate the ship and not the queerness support yuri/yaoi while I dislike the ship itself i invite discussion

I made an entire hatepage because of how much I hate this ship. And i have reason.

James was not in any support for the dark arts it one of the reasons he disliked Severus and would have disliked Regulus. And despite what fannon pushes Regulus was in support, he had a collage of the darklord in his bedroom, he joined at sixteen years old because he was prideful of his lineage as a pureblood and as Sirius stated he believed what his parents did and was sympathetic to the cause that they fought for. He wasn't some tortured soul forced to do what they wanted, he believed it he was a death eater the only reason he "defected" was because of what Voldemort wanted to do to Kreature and how he treated him. He didn't care that they were killing people he cared for one being. His defection wasn't some double agent plot or because he was uncomfortable with the amount of people who suffered but because of the thought of one being, Kreature, suffering. He was a death eater, he agreed with their values, and James would have hated him for it. This ship would never work based on the main reason that Regulus was a death eater and supported their beliefs that James inevitably died defying.

To be clear I support people's right to ship but maybe let's not ship a wizard Nazi with someone who hates wizard Nazis.

If anyone is interested i made a community for people who do not want to engage with jegulus content, its not a hate community, unlike my blog. Its just so people can link fics, posts, and other things without getting untagged Jegulus, or Jegulus in general. Because I know i dont want to scroll through the James tag and get half the content blocked out because we have the jegulus tag blocked.

Back on my hate train.

Disclaimer before I start said hate train it was pointed out to me or well explained to be why people wouldn't want death eaters compared to nazis and I agree with it. I have changed my language on my blog and will keep the energy for later posts. While I am stubborn and hate this God forsaken ship I will admit when I'm wrong. I'm not taking down the post because I do not believe in erasure of past mistakes people should be able to find it an make their own view about who I am. I view it as disingenuous and I have nothing to hide I'm a hater but I will NOT add to the more recent online trivialization of the holocaust and effects of it in later generations. Im not a zionist I hate Isreal but im not antisemitic. I dislike the state not the people.🍉

The ship Jegulus violates so much of the cannon good lord. The ship itself is awful because Regulus (whether you like it or not) is the antagonist and not a tortured soul by Sirius' own admission Regulus was sympathetic to the cause and believed in it (I explain this in a different post). Enough of that on to the cannon issues. While you can ship the ship you have to acknowledge that it ruins cannon (unless in cases of AUs). In cases of fics of where its meant to be a precursor to the OG series you cant have Jegulus. Because James and Lily died together in that house protecting Harry, they died as his parents. They were always regarded as his parents, even by their closest friends. But thats not the only cannon it messes up James would never abandon his morals and go for someone that hates one of his closest friend on the basis that Remus is a werewolf. He also would not have gone after the little brother of his best friend who escaped his family due to their views. Regulus would have been insanely pureblood and insanely puritan about how blood is mixed, he was similar to the equivalent of a far right winger based on the ideology he followed. Cannon James would never stoop as low as to go for that. Regulus wasn't baby girl or tortured lests not forget that the only reason he pulled away from the death eaters was because they wanted to kill Kreature, not based on his morals. I think many people forget this is an Original Character x Original Character not a Self Insert x an Original Character, there is cannon to abide by in non AUs. While yes I think James could have possibly experimented (not with Regulus) at Hogwarts before getting with Lily but I don't think his morals would allow him to stoop as low as to go after a Death Eater.

Summary

James and Lily died as his parents in cannon (this only applies if the fix or HC is NOT expressed as an AU) and James would never betray his friends and moral values to go after a Death Eater.
