Saw a Deltarune fan discussion that was, like,

A: “Oh! Tenna just thinks Kris’ favorite food is Pie because that’s what they used to eat during the Holidays with the Holidays in front of the TV! He’s limited to only knowing what’s in front of his screen and also nostalgically fixated on happy holiday memories and that’s why he doesn’t know it’s actually chocolate!” B: “Um, actually, if you pay attention during that Quiz question, Kris will try and nudge the Cursor towards the ‘Pie’ answer, meaning that is correct. We, the Player, just haven’t been with Kris for enough time to see that they love pie even more than they love Chocolate, and also maybe a bit fixated on comparing them to Chara Undertale.”

And that really kinda made me think… how Tenna’s relationship with Kris is kind of a mirror image of the Player’s relationship with Kris... While Tenna is at least right about Kris’ favorite food specifically, it is clear that he’s still got a pretty skewed and incomplete image of them. Because while he has known Kris for their entire life, he is fixed in place and only knows of the things that happen in front of his screen. Meanwhile, we go with Kris everywhere, but I’ve only shown up a few days ago. We both got an incomplete picture, but for opposite reasons.

There's also maybe something to be said how Tenna is on the surface, the one who trapped Kris in TV World... and yet he is much more afraid of Kris than they are of him.

And he's been secretly following Kris' instructions for some extant.

They're the one who is really in control because Tenna sees them as being in control of his entire fate.

Meanwhile, Kris is supposedly our 'Cage'

But they are also very clearly our puppet...

And of course, the fact that Tenna very proudly and happily sees himself as a source of Entertainment for Kris, while we are forcing Kris into being the tool through which we play the Game, our own sort of Entertainment....
