The big thing about life and stories is that real angels don’t have wings, and true demons don’t have horns. Appearances are deceiving, names aren’t symbolic, their clothing isn’t metaphorical for whatever lurks or shines inside them. If you want to find out who’s borne from Heaven and who has risen from Hell then you’ll have to get a real-life person out of their radiant rotting shell.
‘Appearances,’ - Megan’s Poetry #258 (via meganspoetry)
The truly rich are those who enjoy what they have.

Vincent van Gogh, from a letter to his brother Theo (Isleworth, Friday, 3 November 1876)
I beg you, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.
Rainer Maria Rilke
Let everything happen to you

Just keep going
