would you ever consider making a scout art book?

wow! no i hadn't even considered that! i don't think i will, truthfully. if anything, i daydream of doing a short comic zine of them going to an anime convention. but it's so hard to find the time!

hmmm!! good question! of course i was inspired a ton by manga, especially shoujo manga. i say this all the time but Tokyo Mew Mew was a huge influence on me. Princess Jellyfish was a big influence for scout in particular (nerds being friends... clenches fist) As for graphic novels, Skim and This One Summer by Jillian and Mariko Tamaki are SO good. i remember loving Making Friends by Kristen Gudsnuk around the time, too. i'm also super influenced by indie comics, esp the work of other members of Hello Boyfriend! thanks so much : )

did know you I have a comic in the last two issues of Winters End Magazine, published by @gythacooperative ? : ) 32 pages of healthy adults having healthy relationships to themselves, others, and their phones. huge thank you to Archie for encouraging me to finish this older comic I wrote a few years ago. its only three bux an issue to subscribe

i imagine scout would be a rip-anime-opening-mp3-off-youtube kinda gal, whereas merrin always listens to full albums and never skips songs. her walls have karen ng and witch prophet on them. i think merrin would love this BBNG album, too

fun fact, the "video game soundtracks for brass" cover was inspired by the stars wars galactic funk album cover thank you very much : ]
