Cory Monteith - May 11, 1982 – July 13, 2013
Monteith was the glue of “Glee." He was always welcoming, whether it was to a guest director or a new cast member, Shankman said. The actor knew all of his lines when filming began each time and would congratulate his fellow cast members when he thought they did well. He showed up every day and he was a delight.

Goodbye my sweet Canadian prince :’(
Thank you, Cory Monteith, for all you’ve inspired us to do.
‘I’ve asked him to read a couple of scripts. I just really like hearing his viewpoint because I know that it’s never going to be tainted. He’s very much his own person. It has really just been scripts so far, because I only met him two years ago when we did Crazy, Stupid, Love, but it was like meeting a member of your team or something. I really like his brain. I immediately felt a kinship with him.’

“I’m a city boy, and I thrive off of culture. Something about being on the streets of Manhattan revives me, so walking around and not having anonymity and just being recognized, would really take away that experience of being in a city.”
Hannah: This pillow forms perfectly to the shape of my head. Is this one of those foam pillows from Brookstone? I always wondered who buys those kind of… The hot guy from the bar buys these, of course. You don’t have one of those ridiculous, um, massage chairs, do you? You do? Jacob: Yeah, I do. I don’t. I don’t. I do. Hannah: Who would have that? Jacob: I would. I have that. Hannah: How much was it? Jacob: Five thousand dollars. Ask me how many times I’ve used it. Hannah: How many times have you used it? Jacob: Twice. That’s $2500 a massage. Twice. I hate it. The Home Shopping Network. But I’m addic… I buy… I’m just the worst. Hannah: Do you have a Slap Chop? Jacob: Yes. Hannah: The knife that cuts through the penny? Jacob: Yes. Hannah: Hahaha. What else do you have? Jacob: Coin Bears. Hannah: Coin Bears? You don’t have Coin Bears. Jacob: I have a whole set from each state.

‘We just talked about our lives in different positions around the room. Most of those things are true—like, I actually won the spelling bee when I was 8 and my dad cried, and I do a Lauren Bacall impression. Ryan really has bought most of those things from infomercials. So we were just laughing at each other and talking. The directors [Glenn Ficarra and John Requa] just gave us a day to hang out.’ - Emma Stone, on shooting that scene
