“Cheers to the aftermath: because it sucks, it absolutely sucks being left alone to save yourself from drowning in your own tears; but this is not the end, not even close - it’s only merely the beginning, and believe me when I say, “you’re going to be okay.””
— c.f. // “I know you don’t believe it, but it does get better”
No one.
The Love Witch (2016) dir. Anna Biller
“I was born good but had grown progressively worse every year.”
— Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird
“Being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t scared. Being brave means you are scared, really scared, badly scared, and you do the right thing anyway.”
— Neil Gaiman, Coraline
“Time had not faded my memories, nor had it healed my wounds as it is said always to do. I began each day with the hope that the next day would be better, my recollections a little less pointed, but I would awake to the same pain, as if a black lamp were burning eternally inside me, radiating darkness.”
— Orhan Pamuk, The Museum of Innocence
“If the world was free of problems, paradise would lose its value.”
— Mufti Menk
I’m an open book, but written in a cryptic dead language.
Everywhere I go I find a poet has been there before me.
Sigmund Freud (via wordsnquotes)
“I am learning that the difference between a garden and a graveyard is only what you choose to put in the ground.”
— Rudy Francisco, “The Heart and the Fist”
