Feeling generous? The JDL Foundation, my upcoming nonprofit dedicated to advocacy and love for the senior community, is still collecting teddy bears and blankets to give to nursing home residents in need of these items. Annd since my birthday is fast approaching (two days!) the deadline has been EXTENDED to Valentine's day! So as you get a teddy for #bae, don't forget to grab one for a senior that would greatly appreciate it! (at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

Merry Christmas!!! I know I'm mad late, this was a hectic (but well worth the fuss!) kinda holiday. I hope yours was just as great annnd I hope you haven't forgotten about my last post and the JDL Foundation's First Annual Bears and Blankets Drive. . and would you look at that! Dollar tree has these little cuties just waiting to be hugged! You know you're making a run there today (aren't we all? Lol) so why not grab a few to help brighten someone's day! In lieu of trying to get the JDL Foundation up and running as a non-profit, we'd still like to get this started asap! From now until my birthday (Jan 10) we'll be collecting teddy bears (or any stuffed animal, no prejudice here!) and blankets to give to seniors living in nursing homes. Contact me and I will come to pick them up directly, details for drop off location coming soon! Why blankets and bears? Well, seniors are a very chilly population! As you get older, your skin gets thinner making it harder to stay warm (my grandlady would somehow always end up with ALL the blankets the hospital could muster!). When my grandlady was in the senior home, she'd see a few other seniors with stuffed animals and asked me relentlessly for one. She was lonely. . It's such a lonely experience to be in a nursing home away from your family 😟 "Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty." (at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
